Someone explain to me how GGG has the right for a 50/50 split against Canelo?

Great point. And I’ll add, if GGG had no worries, he would fight Canelo, destroy him and be the king!

Then GGG would never take day laborer checks!

On top of that, Canelos rep took a hit with the peds. Yeah, Golovkin can fight guys for 3-5m. But Canelo isn't getting 1.5m ppvs without him either.

Oscar can't be that ****** to actually throw a temper tantrum and not realize it.

As for his ppvs in the original post, it's irrelevant. It was 3 years ago. If you think he's still worth 150k ppvs after being a stronger b side than cotto, you're an imbecile.
Agreed about Canelo's value taking a hit. They could have done far more to contain that brush fire but decided to act like like they were above it, rather than showing an earnest effort to prove their guy is clean.

Wilder's last two fights also added to his value while AJ didn't gain much.

Yeah Redd, purse size and marketability are chief indicators of financial success.

America is the biggest boxing bazaar in the world. A dirty drug test, is only remembered by true boxing fans, who watch fights color blind.

Casuals, those same putos who never watch football tune in for Super Bowls, World Series, and NBA championship games.

Canelo is a bigger draw, ever as a steroid cheat.

Didn't Vegas and hbo say ticket sales and interest in the fight had a huge spike after the positive test?

            I haven't seen that I thought they just weren't happy with 70/30.

Not sure, but it wouldn’t surprise me.

He has no argument to demand that much and Tom from K2 is out of his fucking mind.

Golovkin has the right to ask for whatever he wants. If he doesn't get it he has the right to walk away. That's what's going on.

If belts actually mattered, all these GGG boxing fans would or should create a go fund me page to whip Canelo.
C'mon man boxing has always been about belts, belts = prestige, negotiation power, and money. The end goal for any boxer, heck any athlete, is to win the championship in their sport. A soccer player's end goal is to win the World Cup, a tennis player's end goal is to win a Grand Slam, and the end goal of a boxer is to win a belt. And like the athlete, the end goal for any agent or manager is to get their athlete a championship win. I don't know why Oscar is being such a drama queen about this. If Oscar thinks that Canelo is better off not fighting GGG or Saunders then be prepared for a lot more fights at the Caneloweight.
