Golovkin was a top amateur fighter at the age of 20, fighting at 165lbs; there's no reason why Golovkin couldn't have fought 154/160/168 and been just fine size-wise, yet that hasn't happened, and likely won't happen.

In 2008 the competition at MW was much better than at SMW.

There's also no reason why he should move up other than you think he should.

Liam Smith vs Canelo drew something like 45000 seats in Texas.

Billy Joe Saunders is a better fighter than Smith, has a world championship, will have more traveling support than Smith, and is coming off of a great performance on HBO against David Lemieux, with one of the most GIF worthy boxing moments in a while.

GGG should just fight on youtube live then.

          Greatest logic ever.

Or maybe PPV just doesn't account for non-America?

Golovkin wants 50% of the pot for the rematch, lol.

Dollars to dollars, Golovkin isn't a worlds' bigger draw on a fight than Daniel Jacobs is; Alvarez fighting Daniel Jacobs and keeping 70-75% of that pot in hand will get him more money than fighting Golovkin in a rematch and keeping only 50% of that pot.
So hypothetically let’s say the pot is 50 million, with canelo and ggg splitting the pot evenly. Both would walk away with 25 million. If you’re saying that canelo vs Jacobs with a 75:25 split in favor of canelo would yield a larger pay day than his 50:50 split with ggg. That would mean the total guarantee for both fighters would have to be at least 33.3 million just for him to be on par with a hypothetical 50:50 purse against ggg. Do you really see him earning over 25 million going against Jacobs? Canelo made a guaranteed purse of 8 million with Chavez jr, which was a much bigger fight in terms of narratives than canelo vs Jacobs. His last guarantee with ggg was 20 million, 2.5 times against Chavez... there’s no way for him to make more with any other opponent. Better to take a part of a big pie than all of a tiny one, it’s poor business practice to decline when there are no other alternative options.

What's your point? [Note: OC Register put the attendance of Golovkin-Wade at 16353, so it's clear that you simply hopped on Wikipedia and wrote whatever was said as capacity for the venues, lol].

If Golovkin truly is the star that you want folks to think he is, fight Derevyanchenko at The Forum, price the seats at full value like the Jacobs and Lemieux fights were, sell out the ~17000 seats, and walk away with 85% of his own pie.

HBO likely won't put up for a PPV, but you take their $1.5m rights fee, call it $1m+ on the gate at The Forum, Mexico/Latin America being interested in "Mexican style", BoxNation buying the fight in the UK, a German broadcaster likely having interest, and that Kazakhstan money and the other revenues, less the costs of running through event and paying Derevyanchenko, and maybe Golovkin sees $2m.

Ok, thank you for saying that. With that being said , GGG promoter is a fool to think he should get more in the rematch. ( Nelo don't care about GGG belts)

You have stated over and over that you are fine with his resume and his not moving up for a challenge.
                      (GGG has zero leverage)

I guess me and you don't have anything else to talk about seeing as this article is about GGG wanting more money.

You approve of the decisions he has made, so you should be ok with the money he is being offered. If he don't like the money , fight the mandos.
