The fact Broner called it a "slave contract", the fact Broner is one of the very few BIG draws in the sport, the fact that people who can't draw half of what he does - make the "same" 1Mil purse as he "does" (atleast what's reported)

Last by not least, the FACT that the head of Showtime sports is publicly alluding to Broner making much more then what was offered.

The fact that Mayweather's check for the Pacquiao fight was 100Million, and we all know he made triple that amount. He also has not even cashed that check yet, to this day. He still has it.

I'm not asking of people to "learn the business of boxing", just to be aware that things are not what it looks like to the public eye. It is no "conspiracy theory" it is the truth.
You’re coming up with a bunch of stuff that has no factual basis.

What's not factual about what I said?

      Point it out.

you are wasting your time trying to rationalize with people who get some sort of personal validation based on how much money another mans makes.

You just said fact a lot. None of what you said had any argument in it.

And the comparison with Floyd was the cherry on the ice. Floyd got a guarantee and then extra for PPV.

Can you see where your ‘argument’ fails yet? Hint: PPV

The whole thing with purses is getting weirder. The UFC was disclosing one thing to commissions & giving guys more outside of the commissions details of the purse for YEARS. Now boxing appears to have gone that route to. Not sure the who, where & why's of it all, but it does seem like a thing now that happens in both sports & making true paydays for fights even more speculative vs the past.

But what's crazy is how clueless the boxing media is when it comes to contracts. Media in every other sport can break down players contracts. Boxing media can't even tell you when a contract expires
In fairness to the boxing media, although yes most are f#cking hacks who suck or are at best subpar, I think figuring this out in boxing is much more complicated then in most mainstream sports. But yea I agree it should be more cut & dry, but with all the divided power structures in boxing I doubt its something that'll be figured out & mainstreamed anytime soon.

Damn Broner is making more than $2 million each fight with a bum ass resume? I guess you gotta salute that man.

The ratings matter more than belts or resumes. If you put asses in seats you can maneuver like a boss even if you just got your ass whipped. The media loves AB.

Look at a guy like Charlo who some peg as the future of 160 and the hottest rising star.. yet he's Broner's undercard. says a lot.

The numbers are the only publicly available numbers, which is why people report them. But yes, they essentially have the same value as imaginary numbers.
Ok, interesting. Does this big difference in reported purses and actual purses only apply to haymon fighters? because he helps them maximize their purses or are numbers from other promoters/managers fighters also not reliable?

So how big of a number is the difference with less established fighters? Charlos reported purse for centeno was 500k. Jacobs mocked him by saying that he still didnt touch a million. So I reckon He doesnt earn double the amount of money in actual purse like broner?

While Im already on the topic lol. The numbers for purse bids have to be the real purses, right?
Because if one guy somehow gets more money through other channels, thats not really fair to the other guy who doesnt have a guy like haymon backing him up?
They could just lowball an offer and pay their guy much more money.
