Wilder just needs to realise that if he wants what Joshua has then he needs to fight on his terms. Because like it or not, Joshua is 'the man'.

Have the rematch, and then simply fight whatever mandatory comes up.

The IBF mandatory is yet to be set yet, and they're the most strict with following their rules. The WBC is the next most strict, but they have some flexibility to what is actually going on.

The WBA has its own puzzle of rules, and the WBO seems to just make things up as they go, so I'm not really seeing any choke points here.

The only due fight is Povetkin; still unclear who's mandatory he's taking, but whatever. Maybe I'm just not seeing it

We'll see. As noticed with the WBC changing Whyte as the mandatory and saying winner of Ortiz and Whyte would now be mandatory. Who knows when they do crazy stuff like that, that they normally don't do.

I can't even imagine the amount of backlash any other fighter in the world would get for acting like this yet alone the heavyweight champ. Turning down by far his biggest payday just to not fight in America? Why is he so scated of th US?
