The rematch is going to do great numbers but this fight has lost a lot of luster for me.

Being out for a year it wasn't far fetched to assume Canelo would want to shake off the rust.

That was Tom's way of saying the IBF belt will be dropped. The IBF would be insane not to collect that sanctioning fee for GGG-Canelo 2. I honestly don't know if it's a flat fee, or percentage fee.

Golovkin should have just fought Saunders in September (unless Saunders is demanding too much money, like more than $3 million)...

The Canelo fight is a high chance of him losing in the rematch (Golden Boy bought judges, old age) or simply put, maybe Canelo improving. I think he would beat Billy Joe Saunders and make decent money, so might as well take that route before Canelo. If he loses to Canelo, I feel like it's time for him to retire. He'll be 36 years old in September, 6-7 months shy of turning 37. That's old in boxing.

Let's get it done. Of course GGG can win this time around because he won by the majority of people the first time and then get around to Saunders lastly or a rubber match if it is justified.

Also suspension decreases hardly ever occur (as quoted by NSAC Bob Bennett) Only when mitigative circumstances can be provided, a suspect can be eligible for a decrease in suspension (but very unlikely) So why is it in Canelo's case, that cooperation in an investigation is considered a mitigating circumstance?

                b) got a six-month ban retroactive to the date of his first failed test and not from the date of temporary suspension. That's like having a murder case, where the suspect gets arrested 10 years after the murder took place and gets sentenced to 15 years in jail, and has to serve just 5 years.

Having said that - I think it's best to get this rematch over and done with quickly.
Coincidentally the rematch is taking place in Nevada.

Second fight doesn't even matter now. GGG won the first one easy, and without the dope, Canelo won't even get a gift draw.
