Deontay Wilder gives Anthony Joshua a chance to launch in the US and globally, without having to take short money while he builds.
Wilder is a PPV fight in the US (have assumed that they run it at least twice); there's not another fight with Joshua that's PPV currently, or likely to warrant PPV in the near future.
If the Wilder-Joshua fights deliver the audience expected, every Joshua fight will get the big push expected on Showtime, with the biggest fights (Povetkin, Fury, possibly Yoka in the future) drawing consideration for CBS.
