Hopefully this explains it to ****** people who think Hearn is going to allow Wilder to make money from his own fighter’s brand.

    I doubt they’ll understand though.

Obviously I don’t know the details but the investment (which won’t be just showtime by the way) will be on the back of being able to make their money back on future fights too.

If you consider it properly , there is otherwise no logic to funding a gamble to such high value because they don’t know how well this will sell ppv in America and worse still , because it would be a unpopular time in the uk they don’t know how much ppv £’s they lose there either.

For that reason they (showtime in particular) want to tie into the contract a multi fight deal. There is other things at play here too, what does DAZN want to offer for example to Joshua.

It may well be that Joshua could gain more money and accepting less now and earn more for future fights is the point really.

Unification takes precedence over mandatories. So there would be no need to pay a step-aside fee.

They already have a contract in place so he will need paying off to cancel it, but not sure how much $ that would be

Hearns and aj are jokers. They're signing to fight povetkin but keep on kidding the public pretending they might fight wilder. You're running. No one with a brain believes your pr bs

Was just thinking how silent everyone has become... AJ/Hearn, Wilder's Folks and Ryabinskiy.

Typically that means deals are getting hammered out...

Now that Barry Hearn is talking and we have these showtime details... yeah... seems like the $50 mil is not just $50 mil and comes with A LOT of strings that just may not be worth it.

Supposedly Joshua/Klitchko each got around $13 million for their fight. So you're telling me nearly 4 times that amount is "getting paid with his own money"?

I'm not paying to see 1 person shadowbox. Joshua vs Wilder is much bigger than any alternate fight you can pull out of your anus so your points are ridiculous.

The real reason is Joshua wants $50 mill AND he wants to choose where they fight. He's scared to come here and fight even though it would make a lot more money from PPV/Showtime than it would over there. Filling Wembley is cool and all but it doesn't necessarily correlate to more money.
It’s about the proportionate split of the money.

Yes, your point that they need each other (to make a really big event / payday) is valid, but Joshua still brings more value.

A stadium fight in UK AND ppv does equate to big money. Wilder currently doesn’t have the same appeal as AJ does, but anyway, I don’t think the AJ Hearn side are arguing about money, they simply want to know the terms.

I dont see how Showtime Can make Profit on Joshua...The Only fight is Wilder after Wilder all of the rest of his opponents would be in the Uk as they would be bigger their.
