This was written by an extremely simple human being.

It's not Wilder who is holding the bag, it's the outside investors that Haymon has lined up, and they have already verified the money is real, so your post makes no sense on any level. Some of the posters on this site really understand the sport, and are enjoyable to read, then there is the population that uses the discussion to name call, and troll, I wish we could seperate the real boxing fans from the cheerleaders.

The money is no longer an issue Hearn has said that himself. He knows they have the money, the issue now is Hearn knows he will be cut out if they are not fronting the money. He will get his one fee and will not be able to run his ticket scams and whatever else promoters do to take money off the top.

It’s dragging because your side is dragging it out.
Trying to make demands after getting historically high front money

The problem is that AJ isn't ready for all the intangibles Wilder brings to the ring. One right hand and the gravy train slows to a crawl. Hearn will feign negotiations, say "we tried" and fight Povetkin in August.

Haymon may have been the biggest money man in boxing, but not anymore.

Haymon himself is only worth about $15 mill. His deep pockets come from an investment fund of $925 mill in 2013. Most of that money is now gone as a court case in 2016 exposed the fact that more than half the money had been used in that fund. 2 years on we really don't know how much Haymon has left in this fund.

Also with Hearn now having backing from DAZN to the sum of $1 billion it's clear Haymon is now the clear number 2 money man in boxing right now.

Maybe Haymon does have enough to cover the $50 mill. In March 2016 his $925 mill fund was down to $357 mill. If he spent at the same rate as he did in the first 3 years the fund would now be at -$21.6 mill. He's been dishing out some big paydays of late, bigger than he did in the early days of the PBC. $2.1 mill to Wilder, $3.5 mill to Spence and Garcia. There's good reason for Hearn to question if Haymon still has the funds to cover the $50 mill purse for Joshua.

Hearn has done great for himself and AJ the trouble is it's truly a careful business plan and we the fans will suffer as they want it all their way or another fan unfriendly route.

How many fights have been made without all this? Please don't respond if you're under 40.
