I agree.Plenty of blame to go around but fighting Ward twice and now fighting the guy Adonis paid multiple times to not fight assures that history is going to say that Kovalev was the better fighter..For the record I thought Adonis would beat him but we'll never know.

I was picking Adonis as well. Maybe we were both wrong because I thought he beat Ward in the 1st fight.

Hopefully they can fight but it will never be the same for me.

Kovalev, Hopkins, Pascal & 3 or 4 other guys all have the same story about stevenson making some vague verbal agreement then dropping negotiations at the last minute & trying to leave them without an opponent or force his terms on them.

That's how Kovalev-Hopkins happened. Stevenson tried to pull a fast one on Hopkins at the last minute but he's been in the game for too long and had a plan B. Kovalev found out what happened. Hopkins & Kovalev negotiated their fight in 3 days.

It takes a special kind of skill to hold a belt for this long and fight nobody at all.
