De La Hoya just being golden spoon as usual. He's been pushing this golovkin is holding up the fight narrative knowing full well he wants to put his guy in with someone else. I don't hate Canelo personally but as a fighter, careerwise he's just continued to fk himself royally these past few weeks. You piss hot, you should work 8x as hard to prove you are now clean.

Oscar ... also told TMZ recently that Saul would be testing every day to prove his innocence then they switch gears and say he’ll only start testing once the contract is signed. So we should expect a a long negotiation period...

Canelo still hasn't gone into a testing program

Why?
1. He wants Golovkin to sign under the terms of the original rematch. Even though the leverage is no longer in their court.
2. The WBC dropped Canelo from their rankings freeing him from being committed to drug testing by the WBC. Most likely there was no drug testing clause in the original contract. They said they would drug test but with who? VADA, USADA or somebody else. What are the terms of the proposed testing?
2. MONEY. They don't want to renegotiate because their slice of the pie is likely to diminish.
3. Ducking. This is what I believe is the ultimate aim. Put enough roadblocks or irritants up and hope Golovkin gets pissed off and cancels the fight. They can then flip that and blame him.

It really does look bad that Canelo hasn't signed on for full VADA testing after everything that happened. Maybe there is something else to explain why he hasn't but I have yet to hear it. It can't be that invasive since there are other fighters who do it.

Regarding the hair samples, I have read mixed reports on how valid those are and there are alot of variables that could affect the certainty of those tests.

I don't know if Canelo used PEDs or not but some of the circumstances seem su****ious. If I accidentally popped for them, wasn't using and was as high profile as he is...I'd want every protocol in place to clear any doubts.

If Canelo won't test then the fight can't happen.

I think Golden Boy will sucker anyone looking for a meal ticket in September be it a 154 lb. fighter or a poorly rated middleweight. Charlo is fighting in August so he’s out. Andrade doesn’t generate the audience for a September fight. Doubt he fights Jacobs.
