This is also my view of weight cutting.
I tend to be more critical of guys like Gervonta and Nery who actually Missed the weight specified in the contract.

Although I thought Hurd had no business at 154 lbs. He did make the weight.

      Being back same day weigh-ins.

      The "weight bullies" will vanish.

I would honestly scrap the whole idea of cutting weight in general. Make everyone weigh in minutes before they get into the ring.

You're forgetting that they brought in day before weigh ins because people were cutting weight on same day weigh ins and dying.

I never liked that, it just seems like a way to roll over for the people who cut weight dangerously

I know more boxing than you though that’s a fact.

For me, it depends on if the "weight bully" is also a "cherry picker."
I just can't abide cherry picking weight bullies.

It’s honestly one of my biggest beefs with boxing. The only upside is your damn near always going to get to see weight bully’s get badly beaten down when they eventually can’t cut anymore and have to fight guys their own size. It’s as close to a guarantee as there is in boxing.

As long as you are not drugging to make weight or demanding special a-side clauses to weaken your opponents.

If they aren't fighting in the correct weight class there is a danger of that happening, yes.

But that's their fault. They shouldn't be weight bullying.
