ive been saying for years and years that fighters should be moved quicker, maybe not quite as quick as loma (hes an exception) but more like usyk. theres nothing to be gained from beating people who are so far below youre level. the fact is the european fighters generally seem more willing to be moved faster than the amerian fighters, youve got joyce looking to fight at fringe world level after 4 fights, taylors got himself around world level within 12 fights too. think its because of floyd being undefeated that a lot of american fighters see an'0' as the end of the road, but the difference is floyd was fighting the top guys, not dodging around fighting bums. know people will take issue with that but compare his opposition to the likes of the charlo brothers.

Boxing would benefit if fighters fight more often.
The Charlo sisters fight once, and on undercards, then loiter around for effing 7-8 months doing nothing despite having barely any scratches from their last fights.
It's infuriating.
They even thank Haymon for it.

Loma's pitter-patter boxing style is boring af, but that's my only knock against him... he's choosing very competitive opponents.

Hell no. Loma is boring. The fans want to see knock outs.Loma is one of the greatest amateur fighters ever but as a pro he doesn't knock people out. Boxing absolutely can't benefit that way

You do know what a knockout is, right? Of his 10 career pro victories, 8 of them have came by way of stoppage

Well this is a fighter by fighter thing to me....for every Loma (very few) there is a Mayweather (very few). Lomas very extensive amateur career shortened his boxing life but has him skilled enough to not start from scratch. Mayweather started young had what 18 fights in about two yrs? Which extended his boxing life.

As skilled as Loma is the pros are different. The moment he fought a style he wasn't familiar with coupled with veteran tricks he lost. Now I have no doubt he would win the rematch but what's done is done. Mayweather on the other hand fought all kinds of styles from lesser foes ( southpaw, brawlers, tall, short, ackward fighters etc) in those early fights and it prepared him not only physically but mentally. And the rest is history

Exactly! Lomo is a very good fighter but is he great? I don't think so. Great fighters in their prime don't lose to fighters like Salido.

He's an example of a true fighter with heart and skills, reminiscent of Ali in those ways. If he loses, who cares? He has the balls to continually test/prove himself, and you have to respect that.
