Publicizing and leaking are two different things. Agree Wilders side took the step to publicize, but again, it was in retaliation to Hearn lying about the contact between the teams in the first place. As for the bold, the publicized tactic is what forced Hearn to continue negotiating. Where the negotiations are now is a direct result of publicizing them. You want to admonish Wilders team for publicizing, then you have to do the same for Hearn's lying. And if you admonish Wilders side, at least give them credit where it's do.

It's bizarre that you think this behaviour somehow forced Hearn to continue negotiating when it was Hearn who initiated negotiations in the first place?
Where the negotiations are now is a direct result of publicizing them.
As for me, I've criticised both sides. Each of them have played to the gallery and made moves which would never result in a deal being made. Hearn has now toned down the baiting of Wilder's team and they've stopped conducting negotiations via social media and buddies in the press. Hopefully that's a good sign.Comment

AKA they know damn well showtime / cbs and al haymon had th emoney to put this thing on PPV in the states, and pay 50 million to joshua with an upside.
they turned down 50 million to keep the fight in the UK. they ahve almost no shot f making that in the UK and paying wilder what he deserves. it is what it is. eddie is ducking the fight for now.
he's goign to wait until the pot is a bit sweeter, and cash out in las vegas.Comment

paying Wilder what he deserves it's but a figure of speech... he already fought 40 times and the other one fought only 20 times... (I don't invite you to compare their respective "fortunes" in order to assess what they actually deserve respectively)...Comment

how much they've made has no direct baring on how much revenue they can generate. it has a lot more to do with the purses they deserve and will come up accordingly. eddie hearn has said himself that the fight is bigger in the US. and that's just a fact. our economy is 10X the size of your own. hell, we have a state, california, who has a comparable, or even bigger economy! really! look it up! las vegas will pay you to host the fight, and it will do more in ******** revenue in an hour than klitschko - joshua did at the gate. you can sell a 10K ringside seat in las vegas!
so joshua / hearn were offered not only a guarantee, but an upside / split.
just for some context, calzaghe vs hopkins did a bigger gate than joshua vs klitschko. and everybody worth listening to knew that the best LHW in the world was a kid named chad dawson, and hopkins and calzaghe were both over the hill! even eddie hearn knows the fight is bigger here.
it is what it is. i'm not goignto watch idly while somebody stares up at a blue sky and tells me it is red.Comment

Hearn WANTS the fight in the U.S .
IF the terms are right for Joshua . Giving up promotional control for an amount he could just about make in two fights would be ridiculous and ****** .
The terms have to be right for Joshua bc HE is the one that makes it a mega fight NOT Wilder . They dont need eachother bc only ONE guy actually generates himself big bucks . smh
You continually ignore on here that Joshua makes LARGE paydays , Wilder isn't a necessity right now .And push fake news like they turned down 50 Million ? No they turned down a MYSTERY offer with no formal paper work .
The only one walking away from earning money would be the guy making 1.4 Million on avg .
How much a fighter makes IS leveraged into negotiating so your wrong about how much one makes doesnt dictate how they get payed .
Drawing power for this fight is speculation , so no...........
Team Wilder doesnt know if they will see a gain IF they paid Joshua 50 Million bc they also are going to have to pay the backer back with some financial profit .
On top of that about 10 Million on promotional services , Wilders team ( All 5 managers ) , staff ,etc , etc , .........
Thats OVER 60 Million NOT including Wilders pay . lol
The fight is projected below 50 or about 50 Million right now ..........
If this fight gets made next and its in Vegas id like to see Wilders pay check considering he thinks 12.5 Million was low and he could have turned that into 30 plus Million under Hearns offer . lol
Now come back like always and tell me how you dont expect me to understand the BUSINESS and only you can decipher the in between lines bc you are a business man !Last edited by juggernaut666; 05-16-2018, 02:01 PM.Comment

If you publish a confidential private communication without the permission of the originating party then you're abandoning commercial confidentiality and committing a serious breach of trust.
It's bizarre that you think this behaviour somehow forced Hearn to continue negotiating when it was Hearn who initiated negotiations in the first place?
Sure. Are you seriously arguing that more progress has been achieved by this method than it would've been by constant, private communication between the principals on either side? The business only gets done when this sort of behavior stops.
