Right now the only sticking point is the location of the fight. Don't see why you feel anything is wrong here. As far as I can tell there is only one side delaying. That's the side that made low ball offers, called the other side names in the media, and has openly said they would prefer to wait a year before this fight happens. Other than these problems, negotiations have gone as they should.

All this discussion has stemmed from me asking whether the deal was real or not (i.e. the money was available or not). I'm happy to say that's been proved, so yeah; I'd agree that Joshua is flip-flopping, given that he's been offered the money that he asked for in good faith.
I'm very happy to be proved wrong because this fight is getting closer and I want to see it. Plus I don't like Eddie Hearn and want to see AJ get sparked out

As this saga has unfolded we've seen the Wilder and the Joshua side get all riled up and full of hot air at various points, screaming that the other side is causing problems. It's probably wise to just wait until things have played out before screaming and shouting. Both sides have said that they want the fight to happen this year and I believe them (I think it'll happen at the end of the year). I also don't blame Joshua for wanting the fight in the UK and I think he's earned that right - although suggesting that he'd sign for $50m no matter what and then turning it down is not a good look.Comment

Thanks for finding the time to find the article for me.Comment

I'm sure AJ could get $100m to go fight in Saudi Arabia. It doesn't mean he should.
He's the champ and the fight happens on his terms, get over it. If Wilder wants to call himself champ he needs to make a sacrifice.Comment

Realistically where would this fight be held in the US and sell out with big ticket prices? MSG, MGM Grand, another Vegas casino, a stadium...? If the fight does bigger numbers in the US then surely it would be have to be PPV, but neither fighter is proven as a PPV star. I'd prefer a big stadium fight in the UK, then if it's a success a rematch in the US where they can do the big numbersComment

So AJ will pass up 50 million cause he wants the fight in the UK ? Everyone was up wilders ass for passing up 12 million cause he knew he could make more, imagine if wilder was passing up 50 million what a lot of people on this board would be saying. Now we know who ducked who . Case closed.Comment

He didnt pass up 12.5 Million , he passed up over 30 Million if he THINKS he can win.
Joshua can generate 40 Million in TWO fights so realistically its not about Joshua running away from more money its Wilder .
Joshua never changed his stance on the fight not taking place in the U.K . Hes maintained that from day one , he never said he would go to the states that was Hearn but hes not the boss ... Joshua is period .
What you guys fail to realise is Wilder himself is taking a pay cut bc paying Joshua 50 Million probably gets Wilder 10 Million tops bc this isnt the mega fight of 100 Million ppl are exaggerating it to be .....it doesnt do more than 60 Million if lucky .
The differance is Joshua IS the draw ,he has a right to take a paycut bc he actually makes BIG money and hes the A side . Wilder hss no business trying to dictate things when hes not even earned 3 Million in a fight in several title defences .
This shows they BOTH want home field advantage .
The way to fix this is set up a rematch claus win or lose for Wilder in Vegas .
Simple .Last edited by juggernaut666; 05-11-2018, 12:00 PM.Comment

Fuck that Joshua, the money is in america. Get yourself over there, as long as that 50m is guaranteed and it doesn't tie in with sponsors or whatever, then you are not going to make 50m dollars over here as of now. Again this is changing stance from Joshua, he said "If the fight is worth 100m, then give me 50m and i would sign tomorrow"...So none of this "I owe it to my UK fans" BS.
I saw it 1st hand when lewis was robbed by judges at MSG against holyfield.
The A side chooses where the fight takes place its that simple.Comment
