Manny always starts fast. He even started fast vs Morales in the 2nd fight. At least in the 1st and 2nd round where he almost KD Morales though then slowed down to Morales pace in 3,4,5. I see him definitely starting fast and actually trying to end it as soon as he can. Larios has trained like never before for this fight though and I'm getting the idea he's prepared himself Marquez style. He most likely will be able to handle getting knocked down afew times. He'll get back up. I think this fight may go the distance though Manny should win it via decision. Would you really want to be that judge that gives the fight to Larios when you have what? 30,000 Pinoys surrounding you? You won't make it 5 feet towards the exit.

I'm afraid I must disagree. He got started with Sasakul from the git-go as there were several exchanges as early as the first round. It was the Thai who had the better of them, however. Pac's punches were pretty inaccurate in that fight. But he was in there from round to round. Even in the last (8th) Pac was still missing badly before he finally caught Sasakul.

Starting fast does not always mean being able to impose one's will quickly.
Such is the case in many of Pac's fights.

Ironically, facing Torrecampo he quickly was able to dictate the tenor and was close to being dominant, but was KOd in the third.

I remember now that I did indeed see Pac start slow: the Singsurat encounter. He was utterly dehydrated when he climbed the ring and had to fight defensively.
