Benn put Mcclellan in a wheelchair. Talk about chinny. Nigel Benn is pretty chinny himself. been stopped 4 times. Jacobs has only been stopped once.

GGG has yet to do so, unless we think Lemmy is elite (brrr). Maybe he is and has yet to show us, but naa I doubt it.

to be fair, GGG has only faced one elite so far, so it might be too early to judge until he faces more.

he's not that tough imo

for starters, you should be murdered. mcclellan was not a great guy, but he gave everything to the sport and deserves to be respected and regarded with dignity.

secondarily, he fought a more explosive fighter than golovkin and probably a bigger one punch knockout guy in that fight [benn.] he also fought twice with julian jackson, wihtout a doubt a harder puncher than golovkin, and one of the hardest punchers ever. jackson is the guy a lot of people think hit the hardest of any boxer who ever lived, and mcclellan took literally his best gas! watch the fight, the guy mcclellan had a fantastic chin. it contributed to his injuries against benn, most fighters would have been stopped long before the brain injury.

I still can't believe how Mclellan walked Jackson down like that. He was like Margarito against Cotto and still surge forward despite eating huge left hooks from Jackson.

Benn was my favourite middle when I was growing up, he wasn’t the best, but he’d give anyone a good fight, no going backwards or running by Nigel.

I’d give Benn a huge shot to win GGG, although RJJ & Toney we’re in a different league
