Murata is an okay opponent but not the greatest. Sure he's got a belt and an olympic medal, but losing to N'Dam should be a big red flag. Sure, by all accounts he got robbed, but even if you get a bad decision against you that indicates that there was at least some room for doubt whether you won or lost. That's bad, because N'Dam is not that great. Other than the two Murata fights his only recent fight against anyone relevant at world level was against Lemieux, who thrashed him, and I doubt there's too many people left who'll argue that Lemieux is all that great either following his humiliation at the hands of Saunders.

The fact of the matter is it's not a good matchup unless there's a reasonable chance for either fighter to win, and try as I might I just cannot see Murata beating GGG. Regardless of resumes and records, you have to ask yourself, what physical attribute does Murata have that's going to enable him to win that all the guys who failed to beat GGG didn't have? At least with Saunders or even Charlo you can make the point that they've got skill and good footwork and in Charlo's case a modicum of power, whereas having watched some clips of Murata I can't say that he's outstanding at anything even if he's not exactly bad at anything either. If this fight gets made, which it may well because it will make money, I'd be interested in the overall event because of the Japanese talent that would be on the undercard but not the headline fight.

Lmao. Make a thread downplaying Golovkins career because he has only fought five champions.

Throws a hissy fit when Golovkin can possibly fight a champion.

you are correct on most points, just want to point out that ndam wasn't exactly trashed by lemieux. the guy just isn't able to stay on his feet, but he still won 5 rounds on two scorecards and 6 on the third.

a similar thing happened in the quillin fight. he won most of rounds where he didn't get knocked down. according to the scorecards he lost 7 to 5 rounds.

so just on boxing skills began keep up with those guys, but just lacks in the chin department.

6 months each I believe? and the WBA ordered an immediate rematch.

I was under the impression that Murata is a decent fighter at MW.... should be undefeated as the first N'Dam fight was an obvious robbery. Would I rather see GGG fight Charlo or Dev(whatever his name is)... yeah!! but Murata is a not a complete bum but Golovkin will probably knock him out Ishida style.

Murata was a gold ****ing medalist and holds the regular title. Would be an extremely credible fight for either GGG or Canelo.

The fight would be at Dome.... going to Japan to defend the championship at that venue would be a huge huge event. That's where Douglas knocked out Tyson dude. Would be an incredible thing.

Yeah its clearly a business fight but do you really need to make a GGG thread every 5 minutes?

As much as I don't like Abel, he pretty much said as much. But yeah he did try to put lipstick on a pig. They're not going to get anymore transparent than that.

Is ignorance a trend nowadays? Apparently geography is not your strongest point and you think the world is only made up of U.K and U.S. Charlo is a little fish compared to Murata's credentials, achievement and fanbase.
