What's the update on Golovkin's belts? Wasn't he ordered just to agree to fight Chenko within the past couple of weeks, then actually fight him by August?

I was under the impression that he had till last week to agree to Derev for the ibf to sanction vanes as voluntary, he didn’t, so the ibf refused to sanction the fight, then he had 5 or 7 days after vanes fight to come to an agreement with derevyenchenko or drop the title.....
I definitely remember he ad 5-7 day after vanes to agree to somethin lol

I think GGG at this point should just focus on whatever makes him the most money and screw any legacy talk. I don't think he has much time to accomplish enough to please his critics anyway.

He's the WBA World champ so it's likely they'll allow him as an alternative mando to Jacobs. IMO he's a decent fighter too - comparing him to charlie Z or somesuch ain't fair at all, but he's probably also the weakest of the possible range of fights Golovkin should be looking at (his mandos, unification and Canelo).
