Geale with wins against Sturm and Sylvester. A revenge victory against Mundine.

Pretty cringe worthy. I think it's finally time for Golovkin to shine, yet some people be like, "Ok, that's a wrap! ATG is a lock!"
He fought trash for years. Here's his chance to prove himself because the division is full of talent that wasn't there the last few years. The Canelo decision was unfortunate but there's still opportunity.
I just don’t see how he’s an ATG or HOF. How many Hall of Famers has he beat? How many p4p champions has he beat. Title defenses mean nothing when you’re fighting guys like Kell Brook and Vanes Martirosyan. Two guys who aren’t even in the middleweight division lol how does those even count as title defenses

Yea, I just don't get how beating Jacobs and drawing with Canelo leads to a "what more" argument.
Another way to look at it is this,; if he suffered a loss right now, would he still look great? The answer is no. He'd be largely dismissed because he hasn't built a strong resume. When your legacy is hinging on one loss, you haven't built a strong legacy yet.

"Golovkin waited his entire career for big fights and then fell short when he got them, struggling to beat Danny Jacobs and settling for a draw with Alvarez"

Max Kellerman thinks that Golovkin needs to prove he can put on a world-class performance against a world-class opponent..... because when Golovkin steps up he looks average

He needs to beat a few hall of fame fighters for one. Hopkins didn't arrive till he beat Trinidad, Delahoya, and especially Tarver, since Tarver wasn't a guy coming up in weight. The 160 division has some talent now so GGG better jump on the challenges that are there while he's still prime enough to compete with them. Even if Canelo doesn't want to face GGG again, he can't hide either because 154 and 160 have some good competition that can't be denied anymore. In my opinion BJS, the Charlo brothers, and Andrade are challenging fights for anyone who faces them. I think Hurd is too one dimensional and Lara is on the decline. Hopefully they get the opportunity to fight GGG and Canelo, who represent two of the biggest names in the sport.

                      GGG wants to TKO Canelo.
And I think he can do it in the rematch.
                      If it happens.
Canelo will gas out without all that meat help.
