Since GGG will be facing a guy coming off a two-year lay-off on Saturday and Tank fought Cuellar who hadn't fought in 16 months, I got to thinking about big fights where one guy is coming off a long lay-off. Name some examples and well, take note of how much this actually affects the outcome.

Loma-Walters- Walters had been out for 11 months which isn't crazy but longer than ideal without a doubt. Did this lay-off result in his loss?

Holmes-Cooney- Gerry Cooney came from a 13-month layoff against Holmes. Did it keep him from becoming the heavyweight champion?

I would agree, man. Hard to say if he'd won had he not had the interruption though. Might have been able to go the distance though. Hard to say.
