because they NEED a hero...and HBO wanted to sell them one

they paid that guy for fights they wouldnt have paid most other guys for

      their decisions have been ABSURD

I question absurd things...... not sure why everyone else doesn't

the excuses that Tom Loeffler gave to avoid Sergio Mora on a radio show back in 2012..... were ABSURD

      I couldn't believe what I was hearing

it was utter fkn nonsense..... and yet the idiot who was conducting that interview did not even bat an eyelid

what did I do..... I gave Golovkin a free pass..... despite being puzzled..... oh, until they used the EXACT SAME EXCUSES to kill any talk of a Lara fight.....

Mora/Lara, were irrelevant/unknown..... but then Gennady ran off to fight someone much worse, who nobody had ever heard of..... which yea, is ridiculous

and don't get me started on Cotto..... Mr "anyone from 154-168" totally refusing to negotiate on weight with the 153lb SUPERSTAR Cotto..... is one of the most bizarre decisions within boxing that I have EVER seen..... oh, and then Golovkin stated that he is willing and able to fight at 154, but nobody will step up,,,,, and guess what..... nobody said a damn thing..... the ONLY question should have been..... but, you refused Cotto and Canelo, who weighed 153/155 respectively

what about selecting Vanes ahead of Saunders lol ???????

the media - and fans - have been AWOL for quite awhile now when it comes to asking Golovkin "difficult" questions..... it has been easier for them to allow Gennady to tip-toe through the tulips un******ed

well..... fk the fans, and fk the media..... I will ask those questions

once golovkin became undisputed, who cares ?

he can drop the belts, and chase that Canelo money..... because, mission accomplished..... right?

how is becoming undisputed, and then vacating..... worse than getting stripped for refusing to fight your mando/or missing out on that Canelo money?

fighting Saunders would kill two birds with one stone

that fight is the answer to ALL of Golovkin's problems/dreams

and yet..... not interested, at all

        I know why
Yes, I can see how becoming full unified champion then vacating would just be a business move.

I also think golovkin knows that Saunders is a had match up for him stylistically, especially now he's showing signs of slowing up.

        Thanks.

        • Abel is right on this one, Jacobs is a completely different fighter now, gunshy to pull the trigger against 2 guys HBO set up for him to look good. He blew out Quillin in one round, but now very cautious against Arias and Sulecki? GGG took his heart with that knockdown and beating him over 12 rounds, he showed up with sunglasses to the post fight press conference. He cheated to gain a weight advantage by skipping the IBF weighin, but that just allowed him to get up from the knockdown and absorb more punishment over 12 rounds. He was much larger than GGG on fight night and still paid the price. His fights are boring now until he fight someone that makes him fight back like GGG did with his constant pressure

I'm glad you've got a sense of humor about it

I have just placed a very small bet at 14/1 on Martirosyan to win.

I just read that Golovkin is a 30/1 favorite ?

Probably but that doesn't translate to the other boxer being a 30-1 to win. Bookies have to have a big edge and always do.
My thinking is just bet on massive underdogs like this when you can see weaknesses in the favorite.
                  Age (Pac)
                  Distractions (Pac/Tyson)
                  Style (Klitschko>Fury)
Reaching too far in weights (Gonzalez)

If you take a step back and think some of these favorite losses were just a matter of time.

                  Nietes at 115 - I'll be watching
