What’s interesting is that Barrera threw 263 more punches than Ward in the fight. What this means is that Ward can be dramatically outworked by his opponents.'

    'Both Fighters used rough tactics and both fought evenly through out the 12 rounds, Bika had a significantly higher work rate whilst it was ward who landed more accurracy - The fight went on during the super six super middleweight tournament, but this fight was not included in the tournament, Andre Ward was a participant of the tournament and was scheduled to fight Andre Dirrel, However with Dirrel dropping out due to injury (he sufferred against Abraham)and no replacement, Ward was allowed to fight Bika outside of the Tournament with Andre Ward's WBA title on the Line.

    Majority of observers had the Fight a lot close in terms of rounds scored to each fighter than what the judges had'

    work-rate = thrown

    outworked = they must land

    you are literally missing the most obvious point in boxing

    that you actually have to hit your opponent lol

      I didn't write those articles where the person says Ward was outworked, some other guys did. That is what outworked means in boxing. Throwing more punches, think Maidana.

      And again - the point was if you are throwing 200 more punches, you are not getting outlanded by -50. I have never seen it happen except for when someone is tabulating Ward's fights. Watch those fights and tell me if you see Ward outlanding Bika or Barerra.

            I would love to disagree with you, but I can't really. It is just odd how some people give Ward so much credit, and GGG so little. Objectively the facts don't back it up, but facts don't seem to matter.

                That is a fact...you catch them in lies and they completely move the goalposts or slightly change the subject.

                  no, but the writer knew the difference between a higher work-rate and being out-landed..... he even stated it in the article that YOU quoted

                  Ward connected on 166 of 463 for 36%..... Barrera landed 111 of 722 punches for 15%

                  tell me what part you don't get

                      He was a decent fighter before, a decent fighter after. Did he shine when he fought Golovkin or did Golovkin almost get beat by just a decent fighter? It's debatable.
                      That sums it up perfectly. Jacobs is the same Jacobs he was before the Golovkin fight.The problem is with people overrating Jacob's because he was in a close fight with Golovkin. For the purpose of making Golovkin look better.
