Try to abstain from thinking about Golovkin. Just for an hour at first. Then a day. Then 2. Then 3. Never forget that this is really an illness that you must live with for the rest of your life

I think the reality is you go to bed each night and chuckle to yourself as you reflect on how you dented Golovkin's reputation just a little more. Don't do this! It's not healthy.

Then, when others are maybe counting sheep to drift off you are mentally formulating posts you can write tomorrow and praying that some Golovkin articles will be posted overnight.

At the end of each day, after you have written 100 posts on NSB, you make a mental note that tomorrow really will be different. Tomorrow is the day you'll abstain from thinking about Golovkin.

Ward moved up in weight and beat the top guy in the division twice and then retired. Lil g is fighting a semi retired 154lber this Saturday. Apparently Rod Salka wasn’t available for lil g this Saturday.

The contract to fight Salka has just been signed. Assuming GGG wins on Cinco de Mayo, he fights Salka on September 15. The fight between the undefeated Asian and the often defeated gringo will be "Mexican style."

Yes it will be “Mexican style” and lil g will say “hola” to all his “amigos”. I used to be a big GGG fan and felt very bad for him that up until 2015-2016 timeframe, he was avoided couldn’t get the fights he wanted and deserved. But once he ducked Ward,
stopped talking about him but yet was prepared to fight Chavez Jr at 168 and bring Carl Froch out of retirement and fight him at 170, it was clear that he wasn’t what he said he was when he first came to the US. He is a straight cherry picker who plays this fake warrior attitude with the Mexican and other fans. He doesn’t want to take any risks. This behaviour leading up to this bs Vanes fight is a great example of his nonsense. I’m saying it now, lil g will be stripped of his IBF belt, will fight and probably beat Canelo in September and then retire without ever mentioning Charlo, Saunders or whomever again. This guy is not as advertised.

my estimation of Golovkin/Jacobs/Lemieux/Saunders did not change one little bit following those 2 fights

to me..... those guys are all ranked/rated exactly the same as they were before those fights happened lol

so..... unlikely that I have it wrong

Golovkin - was overrated..... A-
he is not this avoided killer, or anything close..... he is A- on his best day, against the right opponent..... and B/B+, against the wrong opponent..... the Ward fight would have been embarrassing, Golovkin would have been under-sized and outclassed

Jacobs - was underrated..... B/B+
a very good skillful fighter on his way up

Lemieux - was horribly overrated..... C+
don't know how folks couldn't see it, I told everyone that Saunders would spank/embarrass him in a breakout performance..... Q. nobody could figure out why Saunders/Warren had no problem whatsoever travelling for that fight?..... A. because it was a PERFECT showcase opportunity against a made-to-order opponent..... they cherry-picked a limited plodder lol
