In any case, they're not my team but as a football fan it's been painful watching Wengers long walk into the night. He really did move the game on here and aside from his occasional myopia or tantrums he's been a good force off the pitch too. I also have a great deal of respect for how Arsenal have transformed themselves off the pitch. They are a superbly run club, commercially etc.

I'm no city fan, although i had a soft spot for them. My club share something in common with yours, at least at present...

    Any guesses?
That could be any other team but Man City 😂😂. Ok a stab in the dark. Hartlepool utd

Lets not forget or overlook the fact that "the" Al Haymon is a key cog in the negotiations as well and probably the most influential member of Wilder's team. Lou probably isn't even in the loop until there is an agreement in place. He is a fight by fight promoter for Wilder. While this is more than likely the biggest fight that Hearn would have ever been a part of, it definitely isn't the biggest fight Finkel and Haymon have been associated with. As a boxing fan i expect them guys to know how to make the fight and make it a huge commercial success. That is why they feel comfortable offering AJ a 50 mil guarantee and 50% on the back end while Hearn keeps going back and forth over the fight being bigger than Lewis vs Tyson or being a 40-60 mil dollar fight. As long as Hearn keeps undervaluing and down playing the magnitude of the event I just cant see him making an offer that makes sense to anyone but himself and fans who feel that Wilder and his team brings very little value to this event

Can you imagine the extent of the arguments by each set of fans on here about whose d*ck was bigger?

Hearn has repeatedly said he's fine with the money offered but needs to have proof and needs to know the rest of the details. No sure how anyone can pin the blame on Hearn and AJ when it's Wilders camp who dont want to meet and negotiate, very odd.

One sides promoter has made a private offer with a clear business model to finance it with a 10 day response time and will shortly make another after that was ignored, the other side made a public offer including the worlds press, directly from the boxer by a personal email, with no proven way of financing it and a 1 day take it or leave it stipulation.

One side has gone to the US twice to try and set up a meeting, the other side as cancelled 2 meetings and the fighter has refused to travel and be ringside of the other's most recent fight.

One side has unified the titles twice inside 2 years of winning a title and fought 4-5 top 10 heavyweights, the other after 3 years of holding a title has never unified and fought 1-2 top 10 heavyweights.

One side wants it, the other side just pretends they want it.
                Very much this!

The longer they prolong it, the less ability they have to make multiple lucrative rematches. Yes, Floyd and Manny ended up making a crap-ton for the one fight, however they lost what would have been more money they (in reasonable su****ion) would have made fighting each other multiple times while both were still on top.

They are simply building up the fight. Controversy sells. Barry won't let a once in a lifetime payday like this slip.
