Great post. I think you've touched on the unknown here: can Jacobs back Charlo up? We really don't know the answer to that. I do know that they're both generally come forward guys but one of them (Charlo) has never even considered abandoning his stalking approach due to conviction (imo, could just be that he's never felt true power). It'll be an interesting affair no matter the outcome if it ever happens.
I think peole underestimate Charlo’s boxing skill and hid ability to adjust.
Check the pictures fight, press conf Sulecki is taller.
That's probably the case, but I think we agree that the height difference shouldn't have been all that consequential considering that they're in roughly the same range. If Jacobs and Charlo go at it he won't have the height advantage that he did vs Golovkin, but he won't have to deal with Sucleki height either. He will have to deal with a much better jab than what he dealt with vs Sucleki or maybe ever in his career. So range may still be a problem.
So basically you didn't watch the fight last night where Jacobs got taken the distance and touched all night long by a huge underdog.
Charlo repeats a Pirog performance if he ever faces Jacobs.
So basically you didnt know the guys undefeated tough guy and that boxers train for diferent styles and have other gameplans for such styles. Charlo even got touxhed by the one legged man lol. Go to boxing gyms and check out how boxers train and prepare please. Then talk to me
Selucki could not turn it up another gauge, that was the main difference yesterday. But Selucki is tough, anyone who gets up after being knocked down hard like that is tough. But my boy won pretty easily, he did get touched up but nothing that Jacobs hasn't seen before in fights.
The overall reaction once again proves this:
In terms of (boxing) public perception, you are better off scoring a spectacular KO against a way overmatched opponent (Charlo vs Centeno) than going 12 solid rounds against an opponent that ended way much more game than we all first anticipated (Jacobs vs Sulecki).
Since last night, it seems as if a lot of you has it as a "easy" Charlo win. Me, I won't overreact one way or the other based off Charlo and Jacobs last performances. I still see as 50-50!
Golovkin, who has the IBF, IBO, WBA, WBC world titles, is very close to unifying the entire weight class - which has been his goal for several years.
But if he doesn't make his mandatory next, he will lose the IBF title.
Golovkin must agree in writing, before the contest with Vanes takes place, to fight Derevyanchenko within 90 days (by August 3) or he will be stripped of the belt.
If Golovkin does not agree to these terms by next Friday, the contest with Vanes will not receive an exception and he will risk losing the title.
I don't comprehend your comment. You said, "Funny you want the guy who GGG beat to step into a title fight.." I don't want Jacobs to step into a title fight, I want Charlo to step into a title fight with Derevyanchenko for the IBF Championship. I want Jacobs to fight Murata for the WBA "regular" title!
Got ya. Well if the whole GGG wants unify all titles stuff has been true then that fight will happen next. Stay calm, be patient.
Lmao Jacobs went 12 round with Luis Arias. He ain’t KO nobody lol he’s a old man. He’ll go 12 rounds again with another bum in his next fight
Maybe as a main wvent with charlo on undercard with a one legged guy huh. You guys are quick to turn on a boxer who is proven tough against GGG and quillan and jump on the bandwagon of unproven guy who fought one legged man and a true bum and got his purse swindled out of him by couple gals lol
I think peole underestimate Charlo’s boxing skill and hid ability to adjust.
I don't at all trust me. Just acknowledging the reality of his career.
I think both will reign over their divisions when the dust settles. I see Jermall becoming a champ at 168 too, maybe even unified champ. I think the most underestimated thing about them is their focus and composure in the ring. No matter what, they both listen to their corners and stay on course. They say it's mostly mental and those guys have their heads on in the ring.
