Danny is 6'1 as well and Charlo is either 6'0 or 6'1, but he is visually heavier than both guys from last night. Size might be an issue in that fight for him as well

I think both of these issues lead to two critical errors he makes in almost every fight. First, he likes to throw these very sloppy combos (slaps his right hook a lot) that leave him wide open for counters. Second, he's off balance a lot which leads to those knockdowns.

I think he has all the tools but there's something mental going on there. He does the same thing in every fight. It's like he falls asleep in the middle of rounds.

That's why I favor the kid over him. Those Charlo are always pressing even when being outboxed and they're always throwing hard, sharp punches with balance. Jermall particularly throws some hard shots. I just see Danny losing the way Williams did. He'll look athletic and throw some stuff that looks good, but Charlo will slowly creep closer and then end him during one of his "naps"

I can understand that people are worried about Danny's style versus Charlo. He sure get countered sometimes when he shouldn't.
I agree with the sloppiness and lacks of defensive focus sometimes, there is a fragility.

Charlo knocking DJ out wouldn't be the upset of the year since it's a very possible scenario.

That being said, Jacobs can pop himself and is a vicious hitter.
He does slap, I remember him dropping cats this way (maybe that arias guy to begin with).

What I don't understand is how people get for granted that Charlo will take Jacobs punches well. Dude has been looking like a Tank versus 154 lbers and a bum knee 160 pounders, but people might get fooled.

Jacobs will be a big live 160 pounders.

          Then Sulecki is 6'2.

Check the pictures fight, press conf Sulecki is taller.

Great post. I think you've touched on the unknown here: can Jacobs back Charlo up? We really don't know the answer to that. I do know that they're both generally come forward guys but one of them (Charlo) has never even considered abandoning his stalking approach due to conviction (imo, could just be that he's never felt true power). It'll be an interesting affair no matter the outcome if it ever happens.

I think Jacobs should target Murata next. Bob will make that a big event in Japan, and Jacobs will probably make more money fighting Murata than Charlo. I also think Hearn has a better chance of dealing with Arum than with Haymon, after the way the Wilder vs. Joshua negotiations are playing out.
Murata vs Jacobs makes a lot of sense. Especially in Japan, I imagine that would be a very nice payday for Danny.

The Lara/Hurd/Charlo card pulled a crowd of 11k a few months back.

Maybe Dibella just understands how the NYC market works b/c he's been keeping the building packed lately.
