Exactly, how are they supposed to have a finished contract to present if none of the details are worked out yet? Do these guys think a contract is a sentence long saying "X will fight X for X money, on X date, at X location"? There is so much up for discussion for both sides that seeking any verbal confirmation that one team even wants it isn't a lot to ask.

Like there's a guy above you already claiming Team Wilder is trying to sham Joshua out of money when it's more than likely Hearn is the one trying to get a bigger cut here.

And there's a guy below you who said that they should just meet and sign it after seeing the money. They're not meeting for tea, checking someone's bank account, and suddenly it's made.

Hearn wants control and wants to rob both AJ and Wilder, he wants to control money and make sure he makes 80% of the fight, he is a scum bag!!!!

There is no reason to send a contract if you haven't agreed on any of detail. The financial split has to be agreed on. Once the split is agreed on they complete all other aspects of the negotiation (marketing, venue, glove size etc) and then a contract is written up and signed. I know we love our boxers as fans but you have to use some logic here. I don't think Anthony Joshua is afraid at all. I would bet my pay check he wants that $50M and Wilder wants the fight to. The issue here is Eddie Hearn, period! He wants to make some money off of Wilder first. He wanted to sign him and when that didn't work he tried the Dillan Whyte crap. This guy is who boxing fans should be angry at because he's holding up the biggest fight in boxing.
Whilst I do agree with some of your points this situation is not progressing smoothly because of egos.
There is a awful lot of money involved in this fight. I don’t care how famous how many deals you have negotiated no meeting face to face is counter productive... Now not that this is relevant but I play pool sometimes for £1000 a game and the players ask to see my money first . Which off course I have but I feel insulted so I deliberately go on the defensive..... yeah I know who cares but because Finkel in particular does not like Eddie he is not playing ball. Don’t get me wrong Eddie is a weasel but if you ave a fighter that has put you in a position of power there is no way you will relinquish that power until you are 100% satisfied and even then it will be grudgingly. So let’s couple in the fact that Eddie doesn’t necessarily like Finkel either so being told “ agree then we meet” will not cut it

They have put on the biggest financial fights for the past 20-30 years , they hold more overall power then anybody in the sport

They have a track record to show they know how this business works

You comparing them to Parker’s team shows your biased and will believe whatever Hearn says and just nod your head like a mindless ******
              Calm down soft lad

So by your reckoning Hearn just has to say yes ?

Take your emotional azz a step back and you will see it’s more productive to talk about 50million pound fight than just say yes on social media

You may be right about the control side of negotiations but how is Finkel gonna fins out if he doesn’t want a meeting ?

[QUOTE=Kezzer;18716913]To be honest we already know wilder is fighting beezeale/QUOTE]

You're allowing Eddie Hearn to brainwash you. Wilder is only fighting Breazeale next if AJ won't fight next. Wilder's offer to AJ made it very clear that there would be no interim fights, they would go directly to AJ vs. Wilder.

OF COURSE Wilder's team has an opponent lined up if AJ won't fight him, just as AJ's team has an opponent lined up.

But this is a great example of how Eddie lies and manipulates fans on youtube. Insisting Wilder is definitely fighting Breazeale, which isn't true, as a way to trick fans into thinking Wilder doesn't want AJ. It's total bull****. Showtime is ready to put up the money for AJ vs. Wilder. They want it next. All Hearn has to do is say yes to the money and then negotiate the other terms.

I’m starting to think both sides are in on this. Shelly is literally attaching his emails to the press. For a decade I didn’t even know Shelly was working with Wilder now he’s out in the press every day. I’m not buying it anymore.

I’m not being emotional or getting worked up

Obviously you want both teams to act mature about the situation but that probably isn’t a possibility ever since Hearn decided to constantly disrespect Wilder or anyone associated with him

You can’t go on for months blatantly disrespecting And now decide to act like a proper businessman

All Hearn has to do is say yes to the 50 mil which will mean he’d be giving up control of the fight is he ready to do that
