Comments Thread For: Hearn To Team Wilder: Is a Contract & Meeting Too Much To Ask?

I don't have much faith in him as a guy, but as far as I can see he has said that he's happy to work with those numbers as long as he can see evidence of the money.
I'd like to see Wilder's side show him the money and then sit down to make the fight.
The fact that they're not doing that suggests to me that they don't want this fight next. I honestly think both sides want to let the fight marinate for one more fight and then make the showdown in the winter of 2018. They're engaged in a phoney war at the moment to increase the profile of the fight. And see how well it's working? The fans are increasing the profile of this fight every time one of these episodes happens. I'm actually quite excited about how big this fight is going to be when it happens.
Since that's what I believe, I think it's quite silly getting involved in a debate about who is ducking who (I'm not directing that at you personally btw, but at both sets of fans in general). I honestly don't think either party is ducking the other. I think both sides think they'll win the fight and there's a lot of money to be made.
However, if you had to say who wins this round (as pointless as that is,) I'd say Hearn has the better side of the argument. He seems more interested in making the fight next than Finkel et al are, but I don't think he really is interested in making the fight next anyway so it doesn't really matter. It doesn't matter, as far as I'm concerned, because one of those mfers is getting ktfo when they face each other (my money is on Joshua ktfo round 8-9)Comment

Reading through the comments here is just pathetic. People actually defend Wilder and his team, Hearn and AJ want to have a meeting and negotiate the fight but apparently they are the bad guys. Wow this ******ity is unbearable. This forum totally turned into a total shithole, the dontae boxing comment section of manipulated racists. A circlejerk for degenerates, trolls full of hypocrisy and bias. Racism is also a big part of that..
Some of you cant be helped, probably totally uneducated and just following orders what your racist gods Dontae, Egoboxing, Barbershop, 78, and Team Wilder etc tell you. Some others here actually have some common sense but they are so full of bias and hatred they happily tag along and play dumb as well. You know who you are.. sad sad people.Last edited by Jubei; 04-28-2018, 07:19 AM.Comment

"Wilder isn't saying that they want Hearn to accept the offer, they just say that unless he agrees in theory to the money that they won't meet"
they say this, in my opinion, because they know the basic common sense principle that you don't accept financial/legal liability for something until you know what it is you are buying.
From that standpoint, as I have written before, Hearn has already accepted the money in principle by saying "we're interested let's have a meeting"
If you want him to give a hard acceptance of an offer of $50m then you're getting back into the territory of accepting an price without knowing what it is that you're buying. As I've written as well, no legal adviser would EVER allow Hearn to be seen to accept such a deal as he would be liable for breach of contract.
So basically, you can't ask him to make a firm acceptance because there are immediate legal difficulties (would you honestly accept a deal if you weren't shown a contract?).
On the other hand, if you argue that he isn't being asked to agree to a binding contract but has to agree in principle, he has already done this.
There's not really a way to argue out of it in my opinion. This (totally meaningless) round of the PR battle goes to Hearn in my opinion. Thousands of people would disagree, thousands of people would agree; but those are my reasonsComment

Haven't you ever heard that a man must keep his word, dont blame Eddie for not stepping into that big pile of $#!+....all a mans got is his word.Comment

they say they have it...and they say "agree to take 50 mil"...and all hearn does is talk in circles and say "i dont believe its real and im so concerned for wilder"...instead of saying "thats great we will take that now lets iron out the details"
but he dont say that does he....he keeps questioning it and pretending to be concerned
you dont need to question al's money...that in itself is more insulting than calling shelly shirley for weeks and barring wilder from the ring...more insulting than that flat fee offer he thinks he offered wilder
al is a billion dollar man...50 mil isnt nothing for al to get his hands on
but eddie wont say "ok we like that number its great lets finalize this"...not once..not even close
just babbling about "its a stunt..i dont think its real it cant be real....what will wilder get? im concerned he will get shortchanged"
why is eddie balking and stalling? thats the money AJ said he wanted...he should be jumping for joy...but hes not...hes not once said "yeah ok thats the money we want great...lets finalize it"
just more of "show it to me man i dont believe it"
hes shook...its plain to seeComment

Remember the old saying, there a three truths in everything, one from each side and the actual truth somewhere in between.
Anyone strongly campaigning the position of AJ or Wilder is bias. It’s a negotiation, let’s leave the professionals to take care of that and wait for the fight to comment as boxing fans. Anyone on here that isn’t connected to the deal is just spouting nonsense anyway, none of us know what is really going on.Comment
