I think a lot of people owe Canelo an apology

Research has only been conducted out to a month for sub-the****utic use too, so people saying it can be detected for up to six months are essentially guessing based on research for other drugs. Minimum usage thresholds have not been established, nor have the length of time contamination levels of Clenbuterol would be expected to remain in the system. In short available research is too scant to be able to give any kind of definite or definitive answer on how Canelos hair test results should be interpreted, or if indeed they are useful at all... certainly GBP claiming they absolutely prove he did not use Clen as a PED goes beyond what the evidence supports.

Added to which there are the obvious problems associated with HFT - guys like Canelo with relatively short hair that is likely trimmed regularly may well have grown out much or all drug residue in a timespan of the 50+ days between Canelo's estimated ingestion of Clenbuterol and the time the hair sample was provided. Further we have been given no information to work with about how the hair sample was taken, chain of custody etc. In essence if you believe that Canelo and his team were prepared to cheat in the first place I can't see any reason why you'd think that they wouldn't be prepared to take measures to ensure any further testing went in their favour.

Dude, WADA doesn't test athletes. WADA doesn't even have DCO's.

A link for proof? You mean a link with a video of him eating a steak? Short of that, what good would a link do.

2 experts and the hair test vouch for him is what I'm saying. Meanwhile, there is no proof that this wasn't contaminated beef. Just let it go, dude.

The results are consistent with eating tainted meat.

The critics should now clear his name with the same publicity with which they besmirched it.
Agreed, I think he should rematch Khan in July then fight GGG in November

Yea where's the proof he ate a bad steak. Just a link that says he ate a bad steak.

Why would he eat steak though with it's history? (You omitted this part of my post)

This is dated from 23 March from a source at WADA and although WADA isn't directly responsible for testing in boxing it does give an idea as to the status of HFT - in short, more research is required.

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) concede that they currently have no scientific means to distinguish whether failed drug tests for clenbuterol have resulted from contaminated meat or genuine doping.
Hair analysis can also reveal the level and duration of exposure - which is helpful is indicating whether contamination is likely even it does not definitively prove anything.

"We are running some studies to try to distinguish but we don't have a magic solution today," Rabin told insidethegames here at the WADA Symposium.
Based on the available evidence I can't honestly say I'm sure either way about whether Canelo deliberately used Clenbuterol as a PED although my su****ion is that it's likely. Those claiming that the recent HFT results somehow 'prove' that he did not however clearly aren't looking at all the evidence.

This findings of the Reece Commitee are just the tip of the iceberg.

You need to move on to The Naked Capitalist to see how deep the rabbit hole really goes.
