Okay. The Saunders fight isn't happening. Not every fight gets made. It happens in boxing.

What movers at 160 is there? Saunders and Monroe. He fought Monroe, a mandatory. But didn't fight Saunders yet. It happens.

I'm not inside their negotiations. I can't make Saunders fight. I can't make Gennady fight. I can't make anyone fight. I'm just a fan of the game.

BJS? 2 mil offer wasn't enough. BJS was the one to avoid & anyone can look this up. I do agree that GGG should have made the fight last summer, but it was moving towards Canelo & the big payday, how can anyone criticize this?
OK, onto current events...Should have Golovkin given up 5/5 & Fought BJS or Dev this summer...of course! However, once again it would jeopardize the rematch with Canelo & every one of us would make the same choice. So what's the problem? It's just haters hatin'. Golovkin is supposed to take the mandatory no matter the cost even though Canelo dropped the belt rather than fighting his in GGG? I actually hope he does take on Dev & smokes the crap outta him, but it's not the wise choice.

Lastly I'll just conclude with GGG fighting the #2 & 3 in the MW division in the last year. He's being criticized for wanting a rematch with the #2 over the #6 in Dev? Come on people. Tell us who Jacobs is fighting? Arias & Sulecki? Canelo fighting Khan, Liam Smith, Chavez & now working towards Spike O'Sullivan? Yet some are thinking GGG is cherry picking? Pure ignorance or ******ity. No idea how some of you people can look at yourself in the mirror, let alone criticize others for being much bigger men than you or your hero's ever will be. FACT: Gennady was offered an opportunity to fight a faded ex-champ on HBO

FACT: a faded ex-champ is the PERFECT opponent for a young up-and-comer who is trying to establish himself on the big stage..... and boxing has ALWAYS worked that way

FACT: the two most prominent excuses, of the HUGE pile of excuses that they used to avoid that fight..... was, 1) Mora is unknown..... 2) Mora is irrelevant

so, they refused Mora..... and then ran off to Monaco to fight an utter scrub on free TV :lol:

dude, the "irrelevant/unknown" excuse only works if you select someone better lol..... the used 2 incorrect/lame excuses to avoid that fight, but then fought a guy MUCH worse in both of those areas

Mora is a known mover/spoiler who is notoriously difficult to look good against..... just like Lara, and just like Ward..... two other fights that did not happen for the exact same reason

I cannot believe how little was spoken about that situation, both from the media and from the fans..... totally bizarre..... every other fighter from 140-160 would have cut off one of his fingers for that fight, and yet Golovkin would not so much as lift his little finger to make that fight, totally refusing to drop a single pound to fight the 153lb superstar

then 6 months later, Golovkin threw up his hands in frustration, stating that he is willing and able to fight at 154, but nobody will step up..... WTF?????

A good fight camp is 8 weeks. GG can't take a fight and immediately go back into camp without rest. Not at his age at least.

Sorry but this isn't a fight. This is a sparring /exhibition match. I'm still looking for which charity the proceeds go to???

Canelo is not a legacy fight. That's a money fight. Ward woulda been a legacy fight. Kessler, Froch, Kovalev I & II. Those are legacy fights.

Kessler - very likely could have been DQd
Froch - nice tight win, (at home) refused lucrative rematch in UK
Kovalev 1 - lost clearly
Kovalev 2 - was losing pretty clearly, but doing better. If fight was in another country would have been penalized if not DQd out right

It's the IBF's turn. But they allowed for him to keep his belt still. IBF didn't want to enforce a Sergiy fight with 3 weeks left obviously. If you have a problem with that, direct your energy towards Daryl Peoples. I'm just a fan. I don't have the power to make IBF or any sanctioning body to enforce a thing.

The funniest thing about this is all of you guys are big Ward/Mayweather/Wilder fans...and those 3 guys never took a risk in their whole career.

Always the home fighter...Ward and Floyd dropping belts to avoid tough matchups/mandatories. Wilder has been one of the most protected fighters I can ever recall. Floyd was great when he was younger but cherry-picked (very well) in his later years. Ward should have like 5 legit losses on his resume.
