This happens in negotiating all the time. One side wants to be evasive about the money so they can try to squeeze out a little more at the end and the other side says wait a minute, until we agree on money, everything else is a waste of time.
So for others to suggest this has never happened before, when it literally happens all the time, is ridiculous.Comment

So how are details going to be worked out if Team Wilder are setting 24hr deadlines and cancelling meetings?
All Hearn wants to do before agreeing to the money is whether it will be upfront in escrow, or whether it will be generated depending on Joshua's image and signature.
Hearn manages Joshua's career so he needs to know these things.Comment

But AJ doesn't have the legal right to accept the offer. Hearn has an exclusive promotional agreement and AJ saying yes means nothing if Hearn says no. They have to negotiate with Hearn for the right to secure AJ's services.
So before they meet with Hearn, they just want to confirm that there is an agreement in principle on the financial element, obviously pending that the other details end up being worked out to mutual satisfaction.Comment

i offer you a million for your house. if you say, yes i would accept a million under certain circumstances, then we meet to hammer out those details.
if you say you wont accept a million under any circumstance, there's no reason to meet.Comment

Don't answer a question with a question. The differences in the two offers are clear.
1. There was no 24hr deadline or take it or leave from Hearn. There was a 10 day expiry on the deal. Wilders people say you have 24hrs.
2. Wilder never even responded to the offer, of course no contract was sent. Hearn responded to Wilders offer on the same day asking for details.
3. Joshua generates enough money to pay Wilder a 12.5m fee. Wilder doesn't generate enough to pay Joshua 50m hence why Matchroom need to see the numbers more than Wilder would IF HE HAD REQUESTED.Comment

4. Hearn's offer came from his own email address.
5. Hearns' offer was confidential until leaked by the other side.
6. Hearns' offer wasn't accompanied by a Twitter video from AJComment
