Floyd did not rematch Pacquiao. That was the biggest fight to date too. So, what's your point? Wilder just upped the ante on AJ by making it a winner takes all scenario. If AJ is that confident, why should he care? If he wins, he holds all the belts and moves on to better things. If he loses, Wilder moves on with all the belts. That simple, bro!

There are also Vegas interest working in the background here. The city is in dire need of a mega-fight. I met with execs there this past January. They miss that Mayweather weekend money badly lol

Now if you back track and try to change your demands then you look real bad no matter how hard your fanbase tries to twist and turn things.

It Is Receipts so it is no getting out of this one, remember HIS OWN WORDS:

Not taking sides I just want to see the FIGHT and if they came up with the 50 Million HE SAID he would accept then no reason why this fight can't happen next!

They also put Eddie in a tough situation because now AJ and his team would have to question. OK WTF do we need Eddie for if Al Haymon can come up with $50 Million. AJ just basically negotiated a deal for himself without Eddie
Eddie has Sky Box Office, and until that changes (or Sky opens their shop), Eddie Hearn will stay involved.

Bluster & Bull**** from DiBallbag & co. Apparently there’s a 24 hour window to accept or decline. What utter garbage. They’ll have their phones turned off until tomorrow night then.
Wilder & his team are an embarrassment.
Didn't Hearn give wilder 48 hours to take or leave a flat 12m or send a counter offer??? Obviously they sent back a counter offer. In fact, it's what Joshua specifically asked for. According to Joshua.....he would sign today. I'm just waiting to hear he signed.

Signed what? Wilder sent an Email, nothing more. There's no contract to sign.

It wasn't a take it or leave it also. It was also proposed to be London and either in September or in November or December if there was to be interim fights.

The fight will be made. Nothing to be worried about. All this talk is just for buzz. Too many cats letting themselves get played and caught into the ducking game. The worst form of Boxing discussion and what makes Boxing fans the worst in all sports.
Agree on the ducking talk. However I didn't read one article stating that the offer had a location or date. I specifically recall articles stating that the offer didn't even detail whether Joshua Wilder would be next.

Good point. There's bigwigs in the background that have to gain from this definitely.

Its like why would you let Hearn have it anyways, even if it isn't the money maker everyone thinks? They'd still be hogging the market.

                  How could Joshua refuse this?

Am I reading this right or am I missing something? Sounds insane.
Joshua guaranteed $50m, Wilder likely guaranteed $1m (or something like that; between the camp expenses, paying his team, and earning some money himself, Wilder isn't yet in a position where he can hang his hat on simply getting the back-end money), both by DiBella/Haymon (or whomever is staking the money), and DiBella/Haymon keep the revenues.

Joshua gets his money, Wilder gets whatever his contract money is, and DiBella/Haymon (or whomever the backer is) holds the bag, hopefully looking to make the loss back on the next fight.

                  • Why no rematch, if this is a $100m fight, why wouldn't you do it twice? The only logic would be that they hope to rig the win somehow or they believe it's a massive mismatch in Wilders favour that wouldn't draw a second audience.

Anyway, Hearn is too savvy to accept without a rematch clause, its just a bad business deal without it.

I think AJ would accept it though, he's got the right attitude to cope with the pressure and the way Wilders career has been managed it would be ironic that he ends up with one of his worst pay days for his biggest fight and ends up losing the title.

If it's a genuine offer and prove they have the guarantee Joshua/Hearn can't turn it down.
