It's a very strategic move by Mikey which makes me even less confident in his abilities. I don't think the dude has confidence in himself. He picked Broner which most felt he'd win. I thought it would be easy and it was. Then he picked Lipinets which was easy for him style wise as we all thought it would be. Now he's picking Easter who keeps struggling and/or losing to lesser guys and so it's not a 50/50 or even 60/40 or even 70/30 fight imo. Mikey is not daring to be great. This makes me think even more so that Loma will make him look as ordinary as he himself apparently thinks he is.

I guess you forgot that Linares is tied up with Loma. Why not unify?

Actually, that's exactly my.point. Garcia and Linares were mandated to fight before the Loma fight was ever made. But Mikey dragged his heels until after Linares took that fight before deciding to "return" to 135......
