I don’t think Hearn lied, because Micheal benson had the same info send to him by a representative of the WBC. So it was clearly miscommunication by the WBC. Thank goodness the pressure on them has finally make them do this now.

I wouldn't want to go into that ATM, let them make their decisions and give us the outcome. It's our money that makes this fights happen.
The WBC stayed on their website that the fight was a final eliminator (Breazeale/Molina), then a lot of journalist question them on it. Because they too were thinking why would that fight be for a final eliminator as both fighters haven’t done enough of fought or beaten anyone ranked on the WBC ranking. Then an official of the WBC actually replied back to Michael Benson and the guy even post the letter and reply back to his questions. And in the reply that fight was NOT a final eliminator, then after all the outcry in the last few weeks in regards to the Whyte/Ortiz Secondary mandatory, sulaiman came out and said that the fight was indeed a final eliminator because they would have been sued by Breazeale, because of the whole Bermane stiverne/Luis Ortiz saga.

So yeah it was clearly a miscommunication by the WBC who were trying to please everyone (Hearn and Whyte included).

Whyte was offered a final eliminator and ran because he didn't want to face King Kong.
now you want to sound like you are part of whyte's team to conclude he ran away from Ortiz which am of a different opinion.
When you present a man with choice, he has to look for a viable one that will be fast and make him more money.
Am sure with the purse split with pulev, hks team will have to reevaluate the whole situation to choose which is best for his career.
It's not a function of what you or I or any other person think or want but what is best for him and his team.
They are also running a business out of the sport.

The best way to resolve this issue is to make wilder/breazeale a voluntary fight and Ortiz /whyte the final eliminator so it doesn't take forever before the winner fight wilder.
I believe that's whyte major challenge, waiting for 2yrs before the mando can be enforced. It's a long road for a fighter like whyte.

Then Wilder would be out of the WBC protection programme. Even with this final eliminator it doesn’t mean the Whyte/Ortiz winner gets their chance quicker, Bermane stiverne was a mandatory and now instead of fighting Breazeale as a voluntary (That’s one question none of these people want to answer up to now) they mandate him.

Benson never provided a time stamp for that exchange and that representative wasn't someone who would have had the latest information. It was confirmed publicly as a final eliminator.

And since we know Hearn definitely lied about whether Whyte was entitled to a title shot, I'm not inclined to believe the rest of his story when the overall premise of his position was definitely a lie.

He knew the WBC rules and knew Whyte had to fight a final eliminator, but despite that fact, he spent months lying to his sheep on IFL about what Whyte's rights were.

So even if Breazeale hadn't fought a final eliminator, Whyte was still going to have to fight one and Hearn knew that. But he chose to lie to the public (and likely to Whyte) to try to drum up interest in a Wilder/Whyte fight that nobody stateside was ever going to care about.

He chose 25% of a Pulev fight instead of 50% of a King Kong fight.

Take your fanboy glasses off and realize somebody would only do that if they considered Pulev the safer fight.

Any expert in the world would consider Pulev the safer fight.

I understand the complications in all these wbc brouhaha. I wouldn't blame any fighter for their decision. When a system is not straight forward, it's difficult to predict.

Actually he did, it was right after the announcement. There is a reason everyone questioned that “Final eliminator” at the time.

Am sure the Wilder fan girls would be accusing Whyte of ducking soon. Watch the space once he decides what he does next.
