Not many will be pleased with this fight regardless of the outcome and mediocre opponent is the best he can do on such short notice and he wasn't even doing well at 154... IMO
GGG needs to put Fraudverez on the back burner and fight his #1 or mandatory come September or October & do the Fraud next year...

They've moved GGG well to get him to the Canelo fight the last several years. Tom is anything but a spazz, but here they are clearly guarding the Canelo payday, staying active + I think trying to hijack some Cinco de Mayo fans or some such bs with this play.

Can't imagine why else they'd hold on so dearly for May 5 otherwise.

You really can't say they have moved him well when he can't hold a card on his own yet is the undisputed middleweight champion and has been for 2+ years. They built him to make the Alvarez money. If that was the goal....well great job.

Loeffler just makes himself look like a clown. 1 of these guys is a actual middleweight and not coming off the couch. Career 154lb moving up to 160 for the first time, hasn't fought in 2 years coming off a loss and hasn't won a fight since 2015. Didn't have a fight schedule so he jumping into training camp with 2 weeks to get in shape and prepare for 160. STFU Loeffler. And even if you somehow make the case he's better then Spike an active true 160lber the fact is both were shyt fights. We arguing which shyt tastes slightly better. lol Neither guy should of been in the running. It should of been your mandatory or a fighter ranked higher at 160.

This is a bum low risk fight to secure the canelo rematch in sept. Nothing more nothing less they started looking in the trash can for cheap opponents 2 of the guys on the list weren't even middleweights (Vanes and Munguai) and the 1 middleweight spike is a journey man. And Vanes is a 154lb gate keeper who lost 2 of his last 3 fights and coming off 2 years layoff. Munguai is a 154lb prospect who fought at 147 just a year ago so bad a mismatch that Nevada refused to sanction it. lol
