I have zero interest in seeing Loma take on Pac for that exact reason. Just like I wasn't all that interested in seeing him take on Rigo. At least Rigo wasn't so faded that he lost to a fighter like Horn.
Prime Loma vs prime Pac would have been a brilliant fight. But we don't have time machines, so it can't happen. Now a fight between the two of them would just be about picking up a paycheck. I don't blame fighters for doing that - but it doesn't make for the kinds of fights that I really want to see.

Manny is still a good fighter but only a shade of his former self 10 years ago. He is fighting for his country, using the money to build hospitals in his homecountry. Still a congressman and only a part time boxer but boxing on the highest level, that is just an amazing achievement in itself at his age.
Loma is really small for 135, he has such short arms, I wonder if he really wants to go up in weight again after already moving up a couple weightclasses. Maybe for one fight only against the Pacman its worth it.

Pacquiao is probably going to outsize Lomachenko. He's a proven ATG who's been in the ring with welterweights.
He may have had a tough time against a mediocre fighter like Horn, but Horn is still a pretty large fighter.
I'd rather not see this, but it would probably be good for Lomachenko should he win (although Pacquiao still has to get past Lucas first), but Pacquiao is still a good fighter at the end of the day even if he is obviously past his best days.
