Does this just mean that Wilder isn't going to get paid from the cancelled Povetkin fight? Or does this mean he has to pay this out of his own pocket?

I just followed this link and this looks like garbage. Look at the spelling of @ryabinskiy, it should be spelled ryabinsky. The last real news that I heard about this was back in February, and a jury deliberated for 30 minutes and found Povetkin guilty.

The couldn't determine if he took meldonium while it wasn't a banned substance. At the time this was his first and only offense and it wasn't even proven he took it while it was banned, so he has a case.

Potvetkin wins law case against Wilder. No payment as Wilder didn't want the fight!

Today it has been confirmed povetkin has won his counter court case against Wilder for his fight in Russia. Initially Wilder was awarded c. $4.8 million in lost revenue.

However Povetkin has successfully argued that upon sample A testing positive Wilder had made it clear he didn't want to fight and had already arrived back in America before the second sample was tested.




Thoughts? Was wilder using this as a good excuse to duck? Should he have lost out on his free payday?
