Did the author of this article say Taylor was more aggressive? Please Winky had Taylor on the ropes and in the corners all night long. Winky was pressing the action against tehh so called bigger stronger guy, where is his credit? Why did Malignaggi get so much credit for the Cotto fight when he got his ass kicked by the bigger stronger guy and just held and ran. WInky pressured and punched and cornered the bigger stronger man.

He's been in the pro game for 6 years now.
Dude, He just became champion less than a year ago, Steward said he did a lot of things wrong and still Steward felt taylor won a close one, he said his eye was shut because of the headbutt and he could'nt see anything with it. It was a close competitive fight, The question is why wont Winky fight him again? Taylor beat Hopkins, and then Beat him again, Taylor beat Wright and wants to fight him again but wright refuses, you cant see because hes going to get older because he looked good in there with Taylor and less than a year ago he whooped Trinidads ass. I respect Winky a lot but I dont know why he looks pissed off, like he dominated taylor or something, when its a close fight you cant call it a robbery, you scored it a draw yourself, which i have no problem with, i can see a draw because it was a close fight, either way I had rounds 1,3,4,6,7,10,12.

Boxingscene as well as HBO had Taylor winning the 9th round too, but I gave Winky the nod...so what rounds did anyone score for Winky, apart from 2,5,8,9,11? even if you say 12th round, which was very close, its still a draw

Are you denying that Taylor was'nt the more aggresive out of the two?

            i noticed that ;p

the old white guys who run hbo like jermaine cuz he has a good attitude and replies with 'yes sir no sir' etc, so he doesnt have to do enough to beat a mean champ like hopkins, who throws down flags, etc.

Winky has taken many tough fights in his career and isn't a young buck anymore. He's had to crawl through the depths of the Light MIddleweight division to earn his respect he's only relatively recently obtained. He felt he won the fight, and I'd agree with that assertion more quickly than Taylor being angry that he got a draw. Wright now has to consider his options.

Given 8 months or so until a rematch would be likely, in that time it is likely Taylor will only get better while Wright will only get older. This is not an appealing proposition for Wright, unless he can maybe get the bout in Florida to have a crowd who favors him.

While having watched the fight twice, and now watching it on a replay on TV again I can score this fight virtually anyway. THe question that determines who you have winning the fight is this:

What means more: Weaker, more accurate punching that land more shots? Or bigger, thudding shots that more visibly hit their opponent with force, even if it's on the gloves?

That question will determine who wins the fight.

Round 7 just happened again... Everytime I hear Lampley say that Wright's hurt I want to vomit. He's so busy fellating JT he forgot how to accurately commentate... oh wait, he usually is bias.

I had Taylor winning this fight as well. On my score card, I had it, 116-113. But at least Taylor gets to keep his belt.
