While I get what you're saying, if the IBF gave him permission to have a voluntary, I don't see why they should be able to strip him for having a voluntary. To the best of my knowledge, they didn't say "Sure, fight Canelo on May 5th, but if he pulls out YOU'RE ****ING ****ED BRAH!!"
Chris Mannix calling out Golovkin for ducking, says he should be stripped.

As a big fan of GGG, I can't argue with your research. Those of us who are honest fans recognize that Vanes is the weakest pick Team GGG could have made. Mannix is right on here. I don't know why anyone is even arguing.Comment

But even voluntary defenses have rules. The voluntary has to be against someone rated in the top 10 or 15While I get what you're saying, if the IBF gave him permission to have a voluntary, I don't see why they should be able to strip him for having a voluntary. The voluntary has to be against a ranked fighter. The question that should be asked is why is the WBA & WBC sanctioning a fight against a non ranked fighter. Last time the WBA refused to sanction it.Comment
