What i'm reading from Fat Dan and others on Twitter is that the IBF hasn't decided anything yet. Golovkin has to apply for an exception.

"While Golovkin will defend his WBA and WBC titles in the fight, he faces the prospect of being stripped by the IBF, which deems Martirosyan unworthy of challenging for the title, has declined to sanction the fight, though Loeffler plans to file for an exception, which could be granted."

He won't be stripped. But then you'll say "well according to Dan though...."

I don't want to go back and forth on that. I'm saying he won't be stripped. You're saying he might be. No biggie.

Either way, the IBF is not on the line. The WBA and WBC are. And we have a fight that not many did not want. Welp. Oh well.

It doesn't say that. Loeffler needs to apply for an exception. Which means the IBF hasn't approved it yet.

Nice. Smh. We will see how that plays out.

Either way, we have a fight on our hands that the majority didn't want.

They stripped Fury when a rematch with Klitschko was set up and ordered Martin-Glazkov instead. They don't always go with the money.

Correct. I hate how rematch clauses can't coincide with sanctioning bodies. It's like 2 different and opposing contracts going up against each other. Only one can prevail.

Which is why it's sooooo hard to keep multiple belts. The obligations you have are endless.

As I said earlier the ibf wouldn’t strip him they’d just refuse to sanction the fight, it was pretty obvious what would happen.

Next up GGG will have to face SD or vacate unless of course he faces BJS, that I’m not expecting as he will expose him before the Clenelo rematch, I’m expecting GGG to face SD, fight in September against the PED cheat then retire before he is ordered to face Charlo I doubt he unifies against BJS either personally.

IBF will force a purse bid next. I'm glad since I don't care for GGG vs Canelo II.
