So what does this information really add to this case?

Maybe it shows he's used to eating what he wants in Mexico because he's not used to being tested there....

Maybe he knew about the meat problem and was negligent by trusting whoever provided the meat...

Maybe he was abusing Clenbuterol and got busted as the level moved into "meat contamination range"...

Basically, this info. provides nothing worthy of conviction or acquittal.

I'm not sure what exactly the argument is. Is it that he abuses Clenbuterol 2 months out before a fight so that he gets down to a weight in which it would be manageable to get down to 160 in 2 months clean?

I'm not sure what his 30 day weight was before the last fight because he wasn't required to take a 30 day weight, but I know one guy reported it was 175.

So he took Clen to get down to no lower than 175 2 months before a fight...and then had to go the rest of the 2 month without it to make it 15lbs lower.

I don't know about yall, but that seems odd to me. Especially when it has been reported that some find they gain weight easily after coming off of Clen.

It's up to Canelo to provide NSAC proof that it was meat. They'll have to provide the restaurants, the butcher that restaurant gets their meat from, and the farm where the butcher gets its meat from. The burden of proof is on Canelo.

No matter what, Canelo will get suspended for 6 months minimum.

What's crazy about this is: Why would you sign a fight in Vegas, having lawyers comb through NSAC bylaws, agree to fight in Nevada based on their bylaws, claim innocence knowing they have a strict liability clause, and ultimately end up saying "we didn't warn Canelo about eating meat in Mexico" ??

Negligence just isn't gonna cut it. Negligence is something you resort to when you panic and run out of cover up ideas. It's amateurish. GBP knows better than to try to pull something like that. They have to do better moving forward.
everything you wrote here is true, and canelo has already admitted negligence and he said he will deal with the consequences, they are expecting at least six months and that will be the most likely scenario...
now about all of those asking why not more mexicans test positive since the clen is a big issue in mexico, well the answer is clear they rarely get tested while in mexico..

it makes less sense to dope knowing he will be tested...
and by the way chicken is also part of the clen issue in mexico, every farm animal for that matter.. cow is just the most common...

the weight thing will make sense if canelo was a huge mw, like jacobs or murray, but he is not... hard to see him struggling at 160..

How much nanograms of Clen you get from eating Mexican chicken?

Morales was tested in Mexico when he got busted for the Garcia rematch. But I get what you mean though. You're right.

I think all fighters that live and train in Mexico should be tested year round. They need to get ahead of this and curtail this before it spins out of control and everyone uses excuses. I'm aware that it's unfair to only 24/7 365 only those living in mexico or training in mexico - but Mexico has a unique issue, and that issue has to be met with a unique plan of action.

i wonder how long canelo has been cheating?

since he drops weight rather easy and then puts on a ton after the weight in hhmmm.....

imo it can call all his fights into question at this point
