I think it just shows how bad the American education system is.

Apologies to those who are rational and self aware but in general Americans are dumbasses blinded by patriotism.

Hearn will not allow AJ fight Wilder. He will find a way out and make AJ vs Miller next.

He claims to have offered Wilder 5 times more than his highest payday ever, but a fight of that magnitude will generate hell of alot. It involves all the heavyweight titles. Why should they compare a pay day of a fight involving one title to an undisputed unification pay day???

Why should Joshua fight in his biggest fight yet for only a small increase in pay to his normal fights? Meanwhile wilder (as the b side) wants , what can only be assumed based on rejection of a 6 times his best pay day, to be a minimum of 10x plus?

Joshua holds all the cards and if he wants to fight povetkin, Miller, fury, Haye, Whyte, Ortiz first then he can do. Offering wilder so much already is quite clearly an indication he isn’t ducking. Not only that he has already unified against klitschko and Parker , took on others like whyte and breazeale while still unbeaten. Meanwhile wilder, is still defending his WBC belt against bums.

It was a rhetorical question I already knew the answer to. You're missing something everyone who is new to Boxing misses. And here is the answer. It comes down to two basic principles. A) There is a reason why both sides have gone back and forth at least a hundred times in the media instead of sitting down and negotiating. They want pure publicity to build the fight! It gets people talking and builds up the fight! And B) There is always a power play like this between immovable objects and irresistible forces and the egos of both sides managers, fighters, promoters. Nothing more, nothing less. I've stopped counting how many times people pick a fighter and say the other guy is ducking - and then the fight gets made. That sht got old long ago.

The fight is getting closer to getting made.

Hearn has September 8/15 penciled in for Wembley, while being open to fighting August 25th (the last Saturday of August).

DiBella/Haymon/Finkell are putting together the counteroffer to discuss with Hearn (NSAC will have things settled for Alvarez by tomorrow).

If MGM Resorts is ready to back Wilder-Joshua as their big event for the year, and DiBella/Haymon/Finkell present the offer to Hearn, decisions will have to be made.

Wembley date, for less than was cleared on the Klitschko fight, or an offer to fight in Las Vegas, for an amount that may not guarantee $50m to his fighter, but will pay him handsomely and open the door to the final take being more than that.
