SkySports (no doubt where the original article came from that this has been recycled from) also state that Joshua himself is expected to be over in NY too.
Any offer that Team Wilder can make would be contingent on support for the event from MGM Resorts, who will find out in a few days whether they'd just missed out on two Canelo fights in Las Vegas.

If Las Vegas can have $15m to $20m to support the live event, DiBella and Hearn can come together on the event sponsors (Corona will want centre-ring, but Joshua's and Matchroom's sponsors can have the other four quadrants), Showtime/CBS will put their full weight behind marketing the fight for PPV, and Sky Sports will be co-equal at the table for Sky Box Office.

Pretty much. Wilder's team hasn't responded with a counter, because they are actually preparing a REAL offer...one that has a date, location, venue, etc...

Something tells me Hearn is gonna stick to his "flat fee" once again. I still don't believe they want the fight. Hopefully they prove me wrong with a percentage deal that respects both sides. Hearn already "came down" before with his actual true priority being a fight with Whyte.....

Hearn flying to discuss it shows the fight is almost ready, they just need to work on small details. The same thing happened in the Joshua-Parker fight, Hearn threw a **** offer, then they talked and then sit down and made it happen. My only complain is that september looks so far away, but well, it happening is good enough
PS.: I'll laugh so hard on these Joshua's fanboys that I'm with a big smile right now

Hearn is bluffing. He did the same last year November. He talks as if he is going to discuss the fight but comes up with another excuse. It is his typical MO.

All of that makes perfect sense. What doesn't make sense is Finkel is on record stating that they would have a counter offer across to Hearn/Joshua by Thursday/Friday last week?

Yes, obviously, boxing is not as popular in America compared to England, but that doesn't change the fact that Wilder has one of the larger fan bases among American fighters.

With Nevada on the verge of likely handing down a year-long suspension of Saul Alvarez, I'd imagine that deal points are in flux.

Hearn and Haymon/Finkell will talk, DiBella will likely be at the table too, and the field is likely to be clear in ten days anyway; either Joshua and Wilder are fighting, or the bids come into play for the Povetkin defense

I was hoping vegas would have stepped up by now in regards to Wilder, with him having 3 managers looking out for his best interest i was hoping they could come up with something quick.

I still think both fighters would take another 2 fights each before they actually get in the ring.
