ward = ultimate house fighter, cant stand the guy, he robbed the titles from kovalev and then managed to demand a huge fee for the second fight based on crap ppv numbers, the guy is blessed alrite, then low blowed him at will in the fight, wow, if the fights were in any neutral venue ward would have lost the first fight and would have had to fight fair second fight, thats boxing for you

But you love to create your own special little narrative. Fight Kov in Russia and Ward would get Beaten for sure
He broke his chin with that right cross. That was the beginning of the end. Mentally Sergio was done. He turned his back the round before, whined to the judge on belt-line shots (some shots were low and some were belt-line, but in one of the many times Sergio whined it was following a series of belt-line shots). Then he sat on the ropes without any protest of the stoppage.

Mentally he was done and that right cross cracked his Russian chin. The only "robbery" was the ref robbing Andre from beating Sergio to a pulp and immediate retirement. It was headed in that direction, honestly

plus the cards from the first fight were highly su****ious, check them out, i think only 1 judge gave kov 1 round from the last 6 rounds and that round was not significant in the end because the judge already had ward winning!! no way did ward win all the final 6 rounds, any fool who watched the fight can see that, total BS

Ward did very little..actually nothing, to make a fight with Golovkin a lucrative fight for either man. When HBO asked Ward and Golovkin if they were ready to fight, because they would need a long time to build-up the fight. Ward said No, Golovkin said Yes.

When all was said and done Kovalev fought Ward and got ****d, Golovkin is a little smarter than that.

I have it 1-1, but Ward's win was more definitive clearly

Sergio is an underrated boxer. Not to just a strong puncher with a good chin. He had good understanding of distance, knew how to stalk, and was aware of his own power...guy was also a great finisher.

TC reminds me a LOT of Sergio except TC boxes a little more and has less potent power. He also has the exact same killer attitude...he (like Sergio) appear to "like" finishing their opponents.

All the comparisons to Floyd for TC are insane. Yes they're both black and hard to hit clean, but their defense is nothing alike. TC is hard to hit in a similar way to Sergio. Positioning, timing, and range as well as a willingness to trade are hallmarks of TC (Sergio was the same). Floyd more elusive, less offensive, preferred flat out slipping punches, and never traded with anyone.

TC is a similar, but different Sergio

If Gennady didnt say "Ward is too much for me" and fought Andre...there wouldn't have been a rematch lol.

Yep.. I can see your comparisons.

The bold: Not never. Loved his shootouts with Corley and Chavez, just two examples!
