I tend to think people who don't like Ward, Kovalev and Golovkin are ****sexuals.

Roy is something else though lol. He loved the spotlight way more than Ward.

Ward seems more grounded and he seems to enjoy life outside of boxing. Roy is too prideful and loves boxing more than anything.

I just assumed Ward's retirement was a "I'll see you in 18 months in the heavyweight division wink wink" type thing.

I hope ward fights again. I don’t think he will, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he had ne last fight,

ward sat on the shelf in the prime of his career which ****** because he was on a high after the tournament.....we need more fights by the elites in general at least 3-4 fights a year.... once a year BS takes away alot of fight we wanna see.... some guys get beat before we actually see the fight that matters...then that becomes a great excuse to use not to fight "he got beat"

He loves money man, the only reason he “retired” was because HBO wouldn’t offer him a favourable deal. He’s by no means Floyd I’ll agree with that but Ward is still one of those insecure fighters who craves for attention and recognition.

Definitely. Nobody but James Prince could have pulled off 2 robberies on the trot against the same guy.

Kovalev being seen as "another euro one dimensional puncher who never beat someone relevant".

Kovalev surprised me in the first fight and I thought he won but I'm fine with Ward getting the D.

He pushed Ward to the limit, Ward being the stronger man mentally and having more guile is why he finally came out victorious in the rematch and so the whole battle.

But BIG props to Ward because he was the smaller man out of the 2 and still get the job done.

Kovalev is just an utter beast, but lacks mental strenght when sht goes bad.
He was really close to take Dre's 0 in the first fight...wich is quite amazing.

Olympics, pros nobody came close to beat Dre except Kovalev.
You think that was the popular sentiment after his 2 tune up fights? Ward didn't look spectacular at 175 against Barrera & didn't look good at all against Brand. I think by the time the fight rolled around everybody was pretty much 50/50

The ref admitted he made a mistake after being shown a replay. I don't like Ward because he fights dirty. He wrestles, mauls and hold with one hand while pounding away with the other hand which is illegal. He grabs his opponent at every opportunity and then goes to work. His ugly fighting style is why he was never a popular fighter. Ward was a hard fighter to beat and a terrible fighter to watch.
His own trainer said he quit and Kov has hinted he quit in interviews.
