those reports just take the number filed with the commission, but the number filed with the commission can be wildly inaccurate as it saves the fighter money on taxes and filing fees.

which is why cotto's purse for his retirement fight was listed as 750,000 even though he was paid several million. this happens all the time
Cotto is world away from wilder....wilder does not sell tickets either on ppv or at a live event so i doubt very much that willder recieves anymore than what is declared ....fighting the washingtons , spilkas , duhaupas are hardly ground shaking heavyweight fights.
No one knows who wilder is in america thats a fact

wilders numbers on showtime were good vs Ortiz in the states that's a fact. people are watching, hes no mega star but hes drawing decent numbers, but as a boxing fan who gives a dam??? im not sure where all these top HWs are that you all say wilder is ducking, outside of about 3 or 4 names everyone else is just a name, hes knocking out all his opponents and nobody is saying hes the most skilled so yes he will lose rounds. Maybe you can help me answer this since others keep ignoring it, Why was Ortiz dropped like a bad habit after he was promised the AJ fight by Hearn??? why didn't aj fight Ortiz since you all love to bring up who hasn't fought who

Povetkin vs wilder was 5.2 million and was a big event in moscow at a big arena for the world title ?
Joshua if thats the case has offered wilder over double that amount and joshua will bring in most of the revenue in sky ppv and live ticket sales
you all will stick to the 12.5 mil argument and if I were you I would as well because you can always say AJ wanted the fight and wilder disagreed, but hearns constant contradictions, and offering a champ a flat rate is not honorable, and some of you all know that. I think negotiation as they did with parker would be the best way to go. but I don't think this fight is happening next either way but its building buzz. they can all be in on it

cotto's fight wasn't a ppv. wilder sold more tickets than cotto.

wilder is one of the most well known american boxers and is showtime's biggest draw. the picture you're painting is wildly inaccurate.

the fights you listed attracted millions of viewers on network tv. wilder is nowhere near the level of star AJ is, but as far as american boxers go, wilder is one of the most well known and his tv numbers and social media numbers clearly show that.

Wlad even handed as usual. I think most sensible fans who follow heavyweight boxing know both can win. I actually think both can be wiped out by the other!

I don't think AJ would want to box Wilder at range behind a jab - he'd want to push him back and take away not give Wilder room to uncork one. But even then Wilder has still managed to punch hard without his legs under him.

I think the fight will be high contact. And short.

            Can't wait.

Great post, they are over using this "wilder is not known in the states" narrative

Actually that's a lie. Nothing factual about it.

Why did hearn promise him the fight and then dropped him? why didn't AJ fight him? Ortiz would give Joshua a good fight you guys are going a bit too far with Joshua yes hes a good fighter but hes not this ATG highly skilled beast you are making him out to be. so he struggled with Takkam but Ortiz wouldn't give him a good fight? stop it man
