Why does it seem like Pacquiao became irrelevant overnight?

    Who?

Lol, when you start having irrelevant fights, you then become irrelevant. If he beats Lucas and ends up fighting Lomachenko, there will be excitement again.

I'll bite since it isnt one of your pathetic black panther usual threads.
Pac got alot of backlash for fighting the rubber match with tim. The vargas fight got some interest since vargas was coming off a ko of ali. Probably would of been bigger had vargas not lost to bradley. But i think he really started to fall off when the horn fight was announced

Also I think fans were pretty aware of what kind of fights he’d be taking. We all knew he wasn’t going to be chasing top WWs. He wasn’t going to be fightin any guys from PBC. He was just going to be milked with TR in-house fights and til he finally hung them up.
Yes, all those factors contributed. So did getting old and losing to Horn.

He hasn't had a fight since losing to Horn. He should have arranged an immediate rematch with Horn and beat the hell out of him which I think he is still able to do. Then he would be important again. I think he will perform well and win his next fight in exciting fashion and become relevant again.

It's not only Pac. Who talks about Floyd, Roy, Hopkins, Tyson, Lewis? Their eras are behind us. There's no reason to say much about them. Maybe 20 years or more from now some new generation would be mesmerized by them.

Your career becomes slower as you become older. And once you peaked it is all downhill after that. We all know the agenda behind this thread.

What do y'all have to say about Pacquiao politics as highlighted below?
                  1. Refusing his people condoms
                  2. Running De Lima out of office with sex tape allegations (fake)
                  3. Restoring the death penalty (mainly for Shabu addicts)
                  4. Calling gays worse than animals
                  5. Backing Duterte’s death squads for Shabu addicts

Pacquiao only became relevant when he became a rival for Mayweather. He would've had a decent career but nothing in the level it has been. Once he got KO'd by Marquez people started to see he wasn't the threat to Mayweather everyone thought. If it wasn't for the marketing strategy by Mayweather the fight wouldn't have been as big as it was. After the loss not even the most die hard Pacquiao fan was really interested any more. The Horn defeat and the botched rematch solidified his demise.
