$1 million for "both" fighters? That's a serious paycut from what Golovkin was set to make from the Canelo rematch. Business-wise I can see how fighting Sergiy is a risky move. They obviously view him as a bigger threat than Munguia, Vanes, and O'Sullivan. Fighting a live fighter for under a million when all your belts are at stake is a risky move. But, if Golovkin wants to continue being seen as a monster and truly go down as a great he should go ahead and fight Sergiy or move up and fight Zurdo.

GGG and his team made complaining that he was being ducked by everyone into a religion. Now he is the one doing the ducking. Hypocrite.

Loeffler is playing risk/reward. He knows that Derevyanchenko is the real deal, and if he makes the fight, it's probably just as tough as the Canelo fight but for 1/50th of the pay. Sucks, because I dearly want to see this fight.

One thing to add though - it really does suck for the fans. However I wont hold it against Golovkin if he fights someone soft. He's coming off two very tough fights against 2 top 5 MWs, back to back. If he takes an easy one, fine.
Especially with the Canelo rematch on the line. Very few world champions would want to take on a risky fight in those circumstances. The long reigning ones all have their share of soft challengers.

GGG won't want to lose one of his belts doe, so who knows what will happen if the IBF orders their mando?

They are leaving it damned late. If GGG and Martirosyan sign contracts, the IBF can't then order him to fight someone else.

This is the problem, so in the end they are making GGG pay for Canelo's mistakes, I've never really cared either way about promoters (Don King, Arum ODLH etc etc etc) but at this point *** THEM, this is getting out of hand.

Most fans don't give two ****s about a fighters health, so its fair game in my book if the fighter cares about his pay day BEFORE your entertainment.

Martirosyan is an even worse option than O Sullivan. Not that he's bad but he's 154 lbs, inactive.

I feel for GGG! I know he wants that payday with Canelo. Who wouldn't? But don't hold the belt hostage for what looks like a trilogy in the making! Let Sergey eat too!

I agree with that, except the part where ggg and his team have accused people of ducking him, have only fought 2 legit fighters and is 36, oh and the best part... where he says he fights for legacy and he isn’t a businessman. See how it all came around, truth always comes out. Money is the main catalyst in this and any business. Ggg built his fan base on lies.
