Which is why I blame GGG more then Loeffler now. Loeffler, HBO everyone realizes the date don't mean shyt because GGG isn't a star, isn't mexican, isn't fighting a mexican, isn't fighting on PPV, and fighting a bum so bad that he's getting killed by media and fans. All for a date that GGG thinks will transform him into a star LMAO At this point fighitng May 5 instead of a month later with a better opponent better promotion is the route that make sense. And Loeffler knows it but GGG refuses so he deserves the blame for this clown show more.Comment

IBF are close to calling for a mandatory. That will get in the way of a Canelo rematch. He needs to get that out of the way.You guys seem to lack the ability to imagine yourself in someone else's shoes. They are trying to preserve the Canelo rematch. They aren't likely to delay a fight until June, because that could potentially interfere with promotion for a September rematch with Canelo. He will make FAR more money against Canelo than he ever could against Derevyanchenko, or even Saunders. As much as you may not care, this money affects the fighter's, his family's, his promoter's etc.'s lives. I am in no way excited for whatever mismatch we get on May 5th, but I at least acknowledge why it has to be that way. Grow up.Comment

Nah I'm a GGG supporter and I would like him to fight Derev and I think Lolffler is a sht promoter, a company man and a soft newbie who wants to look cool.Comment

Nice one.
Loeffler is playing risk/reward. He knows that Derevyanchenko is the real deal, and if he makes the fight, it's probably just as tough as the Canelo fight but for 1/50th of the pay. Sucks, because I dearly want to see this fight.
One thing to add though - it really does suck for the fans. However I wont hold it against Golovkin if he fights someone soft. He's coming off two very tough fights against 2 top 5 MWs, back to back. If he takes an easy one, fine.Comment

"Hes the best MW in boxing history." You got to be kidding! Perhaps you have never heard of Sugar Ray Robinson, Carlos Monzon, Marvin Hagler, Harry Greb, Ezzard Charles, Tony Zale, Roy Jones, Bernard Hopkins and some other HOFers.Comment

Actually, I got part of that theory wrong. Derevyanchenko wouldn't become champion by default if the IBF stipped GGG, he would have to fight the highest ranked contender available, which would probably be Andrade.
Devenyanchenko has been calling out Andrade anyway, so that would be ideal for him.Comment
