LOL!! Wright doesn't want the rematch

I was very disappointed in both performances. Wink lost a fight that was only his to lose.

I understand protesting the result, but to the point Wright won't settle it with another fight speaks volumes. The fight was his to win and he decided to play safe in a close fight. Not smart and you lose the right to complain by default.

I also have to add that I don't get Jermaine Taylor. Why wasn't he imposing his will on Winky? Wink still showed signs of being susceptible to a volume puncher, but Taylor was to busy trying to figure him out instead of taking it to him. Despite not having any power behind his blows, I still think Sam Soliman provided the formula to beating Wright.

Winky won. Totally took jermain out of his plan, had him confused and left him wondering what the hell to do. He landed the better cleaner shots, stunned him a couple times, and make him look silly at times something Hopkins couldnt do. Anything else you wanna know?

i think he should rematch. all he has to do is do the same thing as this fight, but use more angles instead of plodding forward with his guard up so taylor can rip off shots, even if they aren't landing clean the crowd don't see it that way and the judges neither.

a lot of the time the crowd sways the judges in their scoring by the reaction they have during fights.

That's what I think the problem is. Too much planning and thinking. I don't know if Jermaine realizes he's a gorilla and not a giraffe.. but of course, I'm not in his head. I feel you have to King Kong Winky or else you play into his hands being lured into fighting his fight.

all of this being said, jermain sure a hell didn't let himself get dominated like tito or mosely. i know they are smaller guys but winky is deceptively strong.

winky has the strength and size to make a leap over to 168 but his style and his punch will not improve his chances of beating any of the top guys. winky would struggle with a top 5 opponent at 168. i cringe when i think of winky fighting calzaghe.
